Possible way to change UI and grid keys?

I just don't like the user interface in game where the units are on top right, minimap on bottom left with resources on right side. I'm guessing by now its impossible to change, but is there a way to remove the hard binding of some keys like the arrow keys and WASD(preferably changing how map moves and such).

I'm wondering if I can do it like in VCoH where you could look into the game files and change hardbindings of some keys or is that impossible?

I doubt those files would work now, but it may give you some ideas.

This is pretty interesting, I think I can make a script work out of this(so long as I don't have to tamper with the base game itself and have my script detected as a hack).
