..about recording gameplay

Hey, I had some ideas about CoH2 vids I may want to produce in the near future but I'm pretty much starting from scratch

Basically I'd like to know which prgorams are needed/useful to record your gameplay with commentary.

I'd be very pleased if some of you guys could give me any advice or links to more information regarding this issue.

I use FRAPS.

Afterburner works better than Fraps. Recording is smaller because you can customize the size and it seems to take less resources. I have used both and prefer Afterburner.

fraps is better for lose less recording meaning it will get every frame. but that isn't gonna matter in most stituation (video edititing you may notice it.) but you prob won't notice to much in most cases.

perosnally i decided to use fraps.

Failure is always an option.

i personally prefer dxtory over fraps, because fraps limits your screen fps to the videos fps, while dxtory does not. there is a good guide from fatal saint:

he uses fraps, but feel free to experiment. and by the way, use megui, i dont like its interface and so on, but it converts your video well, so audio and video will be still synchronous, even with framedrops (you need that especially on wintermaps). this was the biggest step for me, i tried it with loads of options and still had asynchrnous audio!
