Relic should be more lazy.

Okay, what I really mean is, if I was in charge of a company, I'd try to do as little work as possible to make as much money as possible.

Relic, you have a Steam Workshop full of geniuses coming up with awesome maps (Hello MonolithicBacon), balance mods (hello Cruzz, hello Miragefla), and other kinds of weird gametypes. There's a plethora of bold and innovative ideas THAT WORK WELL in the Steam workshop.

My question is... why do you guys completely ignore stuff like the Kappatch or new maps. Add in like 15 new maps without doing any work (steal it from us, notifying the creator of course), make the community happy. YOU HAVE A BALANCE PREVIEW MOD, you can make the craziest changes ever without risk as long as you listen to feedback.

YOU GUYS CAN DO SO MUCH WITH THE GAME IF YOU JUST TAKE FROM OUR MODS/CREATIONS/IDEAS. WE DEVOTE SO MUCH TIME TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE GAME BUT U IGNORE US. MAKE IT EASY FOR YOURSELVES. MAKE IT FUN FOR US. MAKE MORE $$$.

Suggests "as little work as possible".

Uses radical Kappatch changes as example that could have unforeseen long term consequences and would flip balance for some time.

Which makes sense. How much effort did Relic have to put into Kappatch. That stuff is fine tuned by Cruzz.

When developers do things like this it tends to backfire people always find a way to complain about it

It certainly grabbed my attention :nahnah:

No hard feelings, just you know, "Less lazy" has bad connotations.

I'm not sure but I think the Beta Test Groups they had is dead. In game balance, democracy is the worst when you have a lot of fanboiz and crybabiez. Instead of creating useless online polls, they should revive the beta test groups consisted of top 150 and listen to their feedback. Patches like Kappatch are also too radical and as much as I like to see people come up with bright ideas for game balance, simply implementing them in the game is not a good idea.

It is obvious that the community's feedback is important for them since they are more engaged in the forums. But it would be far less frustrating for them to allocate their resources to the feedback coming from people who actually know what they're talking about (top 100-200 with all 5 factions).
