Pathing improved? I thought it would be on the backburner forever and ever.
Does this mean my jackson won't move at turd speed when it meets small objects it can't crush; aka trees(and turning like there's a tomorrow when it does )?
Don't get too excited.
Relic's pathfinding actually isn't the problem, it's the restraints they put on movement. If units had high rotation speeds and acceleration like in most other RTS the pathfinding would work just fine. But because of the playstyle Relic aims for (as well as authenticity) we end up with these sorts of problems.
The pathfinding itself has always been pretty good. I don't know many other games where vehicle A moving through an area vehicle B is in will cause vehicle B to adjust itself so that A can get around it properly without vehicle B having to be told to move.
