Commandos in a good place?

Feel like they got hit a bit hard tbh, they have trouble being useful unless they are ambushing lone squads. Perhaps they were intended to be mainly an ambush unit but they aren't very effective for their cost I think.

What do you think, should they get a slight buff?

Need to do some testing. In a 3v3 on Angermuende yesterday I landed some next to 4 ISGs and 1 Volk squad and only was able to kill 2 ISG models of 1 gun before having to retreat with only 2 models left. The green cover gun shields might have been the reason as I can't remember if I was shooting at front of the ISG but it also shouldn't matter as all cover except garrison cover is ignore at 10 meters and under. Part of that is probably also the fact that I wasn't able to come out of cover and get the ambush speed/DPS bonus that you can get for springing an ambush (i landed glider right in middle of them).

Becuase of their awesome grenade, their demo charges adn cloaking I am glad they aren't terminators anymore but due to their very high cost/reinforcement I think they might need a slight buff of some kind.

the call in price is a bit expensive. The glider is really too expensive for 150 mp. There isn't really a lot of place where the glider can land close to the front in one piece. Furthermore you can't repair the glider and it's vulnerable to small arms as well.

410 mp is a better price.

although the light gammon bomb is still the most devastating grenade in the entire game. It's stupidity powerful and cheap at the same time.

The Sten got nerfed too hard, the Airlifting Officer is quite useless.

16.46 at close range is still pretty good. With the cloak ability the commandos can routinely toss a grenade and use their sten to mop up.

If so, they will always underperform as long as they have WORST scaling in the whole game.

they probably need a .77 received accuracy and .80 cooldown in there somewhere. Probably at vet 3

they and the airlanding officer need to be cheaper.

500mp for a squad that gets rekt by panzergrens. Also their vet sucks

I killed a commando squad at very close range with 2 LMG grens the other day. They really are not that dangerous anymore.

They're about as effective as Vet 3 Assault Grenadiers right out of the box, I think that's pretty okay. They should probably ditch the glider idea though, because everyone complains about the glider holding them back so much. It's completely overshadowed by Vanguard Glider anyway.

Just let them Parachute in like USF Airborne, not only would people be happier, but it's also more realistic. Commandos didn't glider drop, but some did para-drop.

Just checked, haven't seen anything that would imply they did.

So then it's probably still obscenely broken for providing an AoE Oorah! with crazy accuracy and received accuracy bonuses for 5 munitions over Oorah! :hansGG:

Maybe shorter cloak duration at vet 0 and a vet bonus to cloak duration that would be longer than the current one would allow for more rewarding play.
