Flammerwerfer 35: Sturmpioneers are now able to equip themselves with a Flammerwerfer 25 Flamethrower.

Recoup Losses: Infantry that is lost will grant a portion of manpower back to the player.
( 80 ammo, 30 seconds duration )


Flammpanzer 38 'Hetzer': The Flammpanzer 28 is a Jagdpanzer 28 modified with a Keobe flamethrower in place of the main gun.
( ( 400 mp 135 fuel ) 280mp , 100fuel , 16 population )


Rocket Barrage: Call in an Off-map Barrage of devastating 280mm Rockets to a targeted area.

  • Thorough salvage same as the one in scavenge doctrine.

  • Sturmpioneer flamer same as rifle(or any other) flamer. Costs 60 munitions and cannot be put away like a minesweeper.

  • Recoup loses costs 80 munitions and lasts 30 seconds. Gives 20 mp back for every 1 volks model that dies.

  • Flame hetzer costs 400 mp 135 fuel. Looks like its flame damage will be normalized like all other flame tanks(at 10). Also seems like it has the same amount of health as jagdpanzer(took 4 shots from a pershing to be killed).

  • Stuka barrage can kill artillery emplacements like ml20 on the field if it hits directly on it and costs 200 munitions to use.

Overall, pretty meh commander. Even the vet 5 flame hetzer didn't look too powerful while it was taking 2-3 seconds to kill off one model from a con squad.

Previewing Vet 5 Hetzer and the thing is god awful, fast, but low damage, low armor, and same HP as Jagdpanzer (it died in 3-4 hits from a Vet 0 Pershing); for apparently 135 fuel. Vet 5 Hetzer sat in front of blobbed Vet 0 Cons and took about 1 minute to kill 3 squads.... The Ostwind looks way better and cheaper and can shoot down planes.

The rocket strike was a normal Stuka barrage, but in a circle, but I believe someone said it costed 200 munis; but it came about the same time a normal Rocket strike would (still kind of expensive for a single barrage).

Flamers on Strums at mid range looked like it was about the same DPS, or slightly less than the Stg44 it replaces, in an open field. So it is only worth it on city maps with lots of buildings to garrison.

The MP ability is I believe 80 munis, but only lasts 30 seconds; although it did give back an impressive amount of MP.

So overall I am not paying money for this commander unless the stats and costs are tweaked before release. And if I do get one in a drop I still don't think this comes close to being playable. Enjoy your Pershing USF, OKW has to choke on this garbage.

Imo the Hetzer is good (mobility looked good)

but comes bit late (8 command points)

and

cost a bit much ( OKW PZ4 cost 135 fuel also, imo it should be less (flakpanzer,centaur))

stream was good, little short but ok.

it sounded the warspoils fix now actually being worked on, i pray for the EMPEROR it gets released before i get bored of coh2

Flame hetzer looks like complete trash. It had to kill 45 conscripts to even reach vet 1. Another shit axis unit added to the pile and it hasnt even been released. Plus it doesn't even have the remote controlled mg, but a completely out of place top gunner. Sigh*. Well what do you expect #lelic'd

I just noticed the hetzer has a population of 16. While the OKW luchs is at 8; the ostwind at 10; the panzer IV at 12; and the panther at 16.

Like seriously, did anyone even check how weak this unit is before thinking "this is totally worth 16% of someones army."

Unit probably needs adjustments, but the CP requirement is in line with the KV-8. Cost could use a reduction, somewhere around 110-125fu.


However, it's a questionable design choice to have Rocket Barrage being able to bombard base sectors. That's a HUGE problem with many abilities and I believe most arty/barrage abilities shouldn't be able to attack base sectors.

I agree it seems to perform like a p4 vs infantry which also costs 135 fuel...but the hetzer can't fight tanks.

They don't seem to get that a unit that can only fight infantry should be "Overperforming" vs infantry

On that note flame tanks should cost less of they would instawipe squads at their price levels

Its not about it not being OP. Far from it in fact, the new unit the flame hetzer is quite clearly garbage. Useless vet, and is overpriced. Sturmpioneer flamethrower is nothing special, only good ability is recoup losses which is just stupid for other reasons. Stuka strike is decent but expensive. Commander rating: 4/10
