Incorrectly labeled signs at OKW base truck

hi all

its been a while since i saw that one but its easy to fix and makes the OKW base truck a little bit more authentic.




as you can see there are three signs at the truck and the first one is actually wrong labeled.

The sign says:

"Feldbefehls-Korps

Panzer Grenadiers"


And there are 1-2 mistakes there depending on what was scheduled:

1. the plural of Grenadier isn't Grenadiers, its Grenadiere

2. (thats the tricky one :foreveralone: ) it should be written Panzergreandiere if it was scheduled as the Infantry Panzergrenadiere. Otherwise its fine if the sign says "there are the Grenadiers and tanks".


As a german native speaker this would make me happy if it gets fixed to make the game even more historical correct (language wise) :D

First off all. Tripwire so gud, 10 ammo for a whole dead squad ? + sight.
Vehicle capture point can win games, blitzkrieg save a tank. Fair Deal i think

About everything on these signs is either wrong German, does not make sense or both.

1. FELDBEFEHLS-KORPS PANZER GRENADIERS

In German "Feldbefehlskorps" would be one single word. As OP already said the correct plural of Grenadier is Grenadiere. In addition an article would probably be used: "Feldbefehlkorps der Panzergrenadiere" meaning "of the".

2. Tief liegendes Gebiet

Grammatically it's correct but the translation is "Area that is lower in height". Relic probably meant "Enemy Territory" which is "Feindgebiet".

3. ZUBEHÖR Punkt
It also does not make much sense. I understand, it should mean something like weapon racks ("Waffenlager") but no German would ever say ZUBEHÖR Punkt.


In addition I'm still pissed that the picture inside the door of the HQ truck is so pixelated.
In the Beta it was perfectly readable.


/Edit: How the fuck did you get Fallschirmjäger?

back on topic, i just wanted to let them know the one whcih is simply incorrect cuz i can "live" with the other signs, but yes it should be changed everything

Such silly things are all over coh2, Ä = A, english conjugation and word endings to german words, etcetc. Really annoying as a native speaker but hey, what you gonna do?

In the interest of signs, fix the USF weapon rack icon, currently it displays the M1919 and zooks instead of BAR and zooks.

Whenever I face USF as OKW, it feels like I have been strapped down into a mental hospital wheelchair, with legs that can't reach the floor to move myself forward and a nurse is trying to move the wheelchair backwards whilst I have to race a formula one car for a best of three laps.

It feels handicapped from the start


No thumbs, cute and a lot of furry fluffiness, I am the ultimate kitten and by the heavens, am I angry!

Nice one with the (language wise) ;)

But yeah, I'd prefer a faction rework over some signs being fixed. I can't zoom in that far anyway without blowing up my NASA laptop :guyokay:

Posting reworkds on a forum won't matter much because Relic will probaly never do that... So what is the point of wasting time on that?

How many times has that been done now? How many times have we had alphas and betas and given feedback and they still crewed up. How many times did we have a second alpha or beta test and given feedback and they still screwed up?

They listen to what they want to listen to, that being constructive or not. Let us not talk about doing what needs to be done, they lack even more competent abilities in that department.
