I don't think you were rude, I agree with you. I only let mortars autofire when I am too busy elsewhere. Otherwise I am using barrage for extra rate of fire to saturate at target or use attack ground, third most used is to target in individual unit if it's part of an on the move blob but you do have to be careful to make sure to issue the stop command once they're out of range since you don't want your mortar running after them.

You can Press stop right After the Order to attack. You dont need to time it. The Commune to attack stays but it Chancels the Order to follow then if they leave range

-Keep auto-facing, but remove suppression in automatic fire;
-Suppression occurs only when you manually barrage a target area; the barrage can be renamed "Suppressive Barrage".

Other ways to improve:

-Reduce turning speed of these weapons so while you may still auto-face, there is slower response to detected units in range;
-Turning speed can be increased as part of veterancy buffs.

This way, you get a unit that can suitably perform by itself, but certainly far less optimal than if you micromanaged it yourself.


I don´t care about the autofacing, but the autofiresuppression is just annoying. It adds nothing to the gameplay, just pure frustration. Doesn´t matter if it autofaces or not.

The "Suppressive Barrage" sounds like a good compromise.

I don't because the game is sometimes so stupid and bugged that the leIG/pak howie will walk into the enemy direction to "search" for the marked squad if it disappears in the fog of war.

I like attack ground of barrage is on cool down

I agree with both of them, but rather stick with the first.
I Could also imagine to remove auto fire completly, and revert recent nerfs.
okw and usf both kinda lack (besides walking stuka).
It would also diffferate to mortars
That way you wold have a mini ml20 to soften up some reinforced positions

they should revert the chance for the leig the nerf is overkill.
okw just had a tiny chance to compete with allied factions and then comes the nerfhammer immediatly because relic hates germans obviously

If you rightclick a enemy unit, your leIG will pursuit into the FOW. Not very helpfull.

The pack and leig shouldn't have supression


When suppression gets removed from these units, I'll probably start playing this game once again. No fucking way I am going to bother until this happens.

These units are crutches but I'd rather not see them become useless. Though being useless is better than what we have now, I hate artillery.

No u are not, im doing too.

I click on every squad,just like the mg, click on every squad till it is suppresed :D

At first I wanted pinning to go from Pack Howi and ISG... but the more I think about it, taking away auto-rotate but leaving pin actually gives USF something to fight blobs with since the .50 cal is barely a viable unit and the M15 is extremely fragile, and the ISG lets OKW control blobs if they don't want to make a crappy MG34 and don't build their Mechanized HQ.

They make infantry play against OKW just a pain. The guns automatically rotate pinning the infantry needed to counter the OKW blobs. They block off entire maps, automatically shooting making flanking and sneaking around impossible.
