Stealth. Smoke. Grenade. Insane DPS. THese guys are an walking pre-patch BOFORS. Despite their cost, I wouldn't call them a balanced unit. Not at all. Remember initial Obers squad with free lmg and crazy DPS? THese guys are not far from it.

The problem is, in good hands, you can't really deal with them unless you use armor because good players always put them behind cover. Although they are close quarter combatants, their Stealth makes them very very effective. You can deal with Shocks for example, but not Commandos.

Funny. I remember you championing the cause of the old obers. Now, when it suits your agenda, the old obers were bad, because "these guys are not far from it".

Regular commandos are justifiable, I think.. however, having used Vanguard nearly every game as Brits, I have to say that the 350MP Commandos from the Glider HQ are way, way too cheap. Truth be told, I don't know how I'd win as Brits without Vanguard...

It cost you actually 350 and 250 is for teching (if you have p2w commander , that commander have also churchill).
Glider also give you retreat and reinforce point and medic ability to buy (commader cost cant be lower than 250 so it must cost at least 250 and this is fair cost only for reinforce + retreat point)

So they cost 350 Mp if you play P2W

people say smoe and flank not because okw dont have smoke , but because of hidden unit and their close range capabilities.

Smoke and flank is just new coh2.org meta deal with it.

And if you cant deal with it try smoking and flamking it :snfPeter:

The glider comes with forward retreat, reinforce, AND the Airlanding Officer. Assuming the Airlanding Officer is 340MP (which is underpricing it already, it's a crazy good unit with satchels and heroic charge), that leaves 200MP for reinforce, retreat, and production of commandos? A British forward reinforce point is already 250+200MP for reinforce and retreat.

Just faced 2 commandos and airland officer with his buff ability, running straight into my 2x PzGrens and 2x Grens behind green cover.

I have never seen myself clicking "T" so fast :hansGASM::hansGASM:

Obers came in a faction with alot of penalties. Please be so kind and point me the penalties of the british faction.

I never buy them because 500mp is so damn expensive for a MP starved faction, meanwhile if you have the p2w vanguard commander you can crap them out for 350mp which is pretty broken.

I would like to see their stens nerfed but the squad costs adjusted, so upgrading bren guns is actually worth it on them.

You mean the short range DPS that got nerfed last patch?



the path note said that they were nerf, but I haven't found any difference. They are still appearing to be doing 25 dps at close range.


On the other hand, the commandoes seems to have the weakest veterancy in the game. They get a +25% accuracy at vet2 but no other combat veterancy.

Fun Fact: Command Light Gammon Bomb has an AoE of 5, 120 damage, and Max (.25) Med (.75) Close (1) damage multipliers, whilst the panzergrenadier bundled grenade has an AoE of 4, 80 damage, and the same AoE damage multipliers. The Commando light gammon is cheaper too.

problem commando this Sten is not SMG But this is mini gun with rate of fire value 26 (and MG42 have 16 )

I was supprised to see that commando's are 35 mp to reinforce (the same as an IS infantryman).

I think they should stay as a very potent squad.... but i think the costs are wrong...

Suggested fixes:

From Vanguard glider, Price increase from 350 to 500 MP, per squad.

Reinforce costs from 35 to 50.

+2 population cost

(These changes to be included for the airlanding officer squad too).

They are currently the best infantry, their prices should reflect as such.

Super high close range DPS + cloak (+ stupid cloak bonuses) is just a bad combination. You can't fight them at longer ranges because of cloak and they shred everything at close range.

1. Remove their cloak completely and keep their high DPS and low received accuracy

OR

2. keep cloak, reduce their close range DPS but increase mid-long range DPS (to be simililar to Falls) but remove their cloak bonuses and slightly increase their received accuracy.

They can be either UKF shocks or UKF Falls but no weird combination of both.

I'm all up for price increase for a regular squad but the one with the glider has commander in it that's why it's 500mp. I believe regular squad doesn't have commander and therefore asking 500mp is a bit much. 400 - 450 mp will be more accurate.
