Why are the soldiers in my mod pink all of a sudden?

Hi. This hasn't happened before, but I hadn't made any changes to the mod before loading it in-game -

Why is this happening? And how do I fix? May someone help me please?

Pink means there is no texture associated. Is this happening outside of the mod? Are you overriding any skin packs for those entities?

This is impossible. I never even touched anything in the game's files, let alone do anything before loading the mod. How is it even possible for no textures to be associated with when I never deleted anything?

I've done just that, and the soldiers are still showing up pink.

Please don't tell me I have to redo everything or reinstall everything. I'm so sick of that.

It is really hard to say, without knowing more about your mod and any recent changes you have made.

It's the same mod as I sent you last time. I didn't even make any slight changes before playing the game. None of this ever happened in the past, not even during heavy edits.

EDIT: To be more precise: this issue started after the latest update.

Okay: The modding process up to this issue was like this:

- Loads of edits: No problems.
- Took a break from modding for about three days
- Next day, latest update rolled in
- Played one automatch match
- Tried playing my mod
- Pink Models

Someone please help. I really don't want to give up modding.

So I created it from scratch, and now -

Not only it's affecting all of the squad members of the squad in question, but now every infantry is being affected by pink model errors.

Hi. I would like to thank you for the help over the past few days but after trying out your suggestions and other trial and error, the pink models persisted. I'm suspecting that my mod file is corrupted somehow, with no way for any of us to determine how and why. Therefore I've decided to do my mod from scratch again.

Again, thank you for the help, and I'm sorry for being such a burden.

Hi Vangrufee.

Lot of us we use Github application (free) for have rollback for this situation.

I recommended to use it.

Yes, that is good advice. GitHub is a great way to ensure that you do not lose your work, and can be a great way to roll back when something goes wrong (provided you commit often).

aerafield: @LimaOscarMike I would say nowadays is a decent time to try CoH3. If you loved CoH2 however, there is a solid chance you're gonna dislike CoH3
