The Panzer III has been in the game files since the game released, since CoH2 singleplayer went from 1941 - 1945, and the multiplayer was based on 1943-1944, the Panzer III seemed like an obvious pick. Undoubtedly it was cut due to the turmoil with THQ's death, and the rush to get the game out the door so they could justify their existence to SEGA.

The files for the Panzer III's gun are still there, and possibly the Panzer III itself, but I'm not sure because the page returns an error on coh-stats. The gun though seems fairly typical of a Light Tank's gun, and it was going to be the 5cm gun variant.

I'm still all for it. Throw it in T2, unlocked by teching T3 but you don't need to build the T3 building.

Suddenly Ostheer has a mid-game light vehicle and doesn't need to crutch on Puma and StuG E.

Id mainly like it because itd look sexy with the panzergrau skin.
