Keep in mind that it costs 120 Munitions to get that upgrade. Increasing the fuel cost is pushing back the Soviet ability to reinforce on the field. Quite dangerous for those who use Conscripts and Penals (No call in infantry).

Of course, there's also another possibility we can pursue. What if we moved it's suppression buff to Vet 3 rather than have it from the start? :)


Soviets generally are not as ammo demanding as other factions (since cons dont have a weapon upgrade). and a sov player will have around 220 ammo by the 6:30 marker if they own half the map.
Alot of people skipped T3 totally before the last patch, so im not sure it would be a massive issue to have to pay an extra 15 fuel for the M5. But might make a player take more care of it than yolo it in with a quad cannon. Because 2-3 squad wipes is worth it ect.


I dont mid your last suggestion either, but its unlikely Ostheer will have a shrek upgrade anyway by 6:30 if hes upgraded LMG's. The "force retreat" factor will still be there :/

I would considering increasing fuel an issue. Definitely. There's no guarantee that the Soviets can hold onto half the map for long enough. Not to mention that the Ostheer have multiple, cheap ways of reinforcing like Fuel-less Bunkers (Cost munition but still...), cheap half tracks and that rare Repair HQ. For far superior infantry no less. Hardly fair, is it? While I do recognize the early Quad is a problem, I feel the cheap half track's ability to reinforce is crucial for keeping the Soviet's in the game if things don't go their way early on.

This is why I cannot support a fuel cost increase for the half track. Let's focus on changes that tackle the quad directly.

Probably wasn't designed to in real life. Perhaps the M5 was heavy enough in real life to not require being anchored down compared to it's German cousin? Not an expert on the technicals but...

Real world debate aside, it's still doesn't justify the fuel cost increase in my eyes. It's only a problem when upgraded and that's what should be tackled without affecting the non upgraded version.

The quad upgrade should just require T4.

Want to do a reinforcement push? Get an early M5.
Want to do early harrasment? Invest in the more expensive T70 (which is still a fine vehicle, just now completely outclassed by the M5 quad).

Quad upgrade at T4 will make the M5 stay relevent in the lategame, because unlike the FlamerHT it has long range, supression, and helpt to deal with loitering planes.

Plz remove suppression from M5 quads since it ruins their awesome DPS, without suppression you could kill enemy soldiers in seconds, but that damn suppression ruins everything!

At least the T-70's fuel cost reflects its impact, the M5 is way too cheap atm.

Because you're not factoring in 120mun.
Thats resource too, which bumps the cost.

Soviets would love to spend that muni on infantry and vehicle upgrades and on effective grenades, believe me, they would love to.

I honestly think ambush camo might be really useful this patch.

Just camo a gren squad and ambush faust those early light vehicles.

Does the damage buff apply to Pzfausts as well?
