T34/76 for 80 fuel

Does anyone else think that this is way too cheap?

Relic argues that they adjusted it because of the initial tech costs. The problem is that T34 trains will become a nightmare. Its already easy to replace them at 100 fuel. And now you will end up killing hordes and hordes of T34 and your opponent will still be able to get new ones easily. It sounds refreshing to the old call in meta at first, but im sure this will become a big balance. Dont underestimate the T34 en masse. Relic could have left it at 100 fuel or just reduced it to 90 fuel (to make it slightly less spammable compared to 80 fuel)

Menpower cost is still pretty significant.

Also, call-in meta=bad. Stock production=bad.

Make your mind already, you can not NOT have both.

I agree. Conscripts should be in the T4 building.

Lets not produce stock units and depend on call-ins

Again, that was not the point he was making at all, and its fairly disappointing that three consecutive posters somehow (deliberately?) failed to understand it. False dichotomy ftw.

Sheepeh, its maybe simply best to wait for a couple of week how this plays out in the meta. A lot of people think that Sov T3 in general is too strong in its present state especially against OH, but one should wait at least for some time to see how this works out.

Thanks for pointing out that i neither want to overnerf soviets or keep the boring call in meta.

All i want is to voice my concern about the cheap price of a single T34 which will lead to giant T34 trains without much punishment to the soviet player in case of a vehicle loss.

Now lets compare the Ostheer and OKW medium tank to the T34 : OH P4 costs 125fuel and OKW P4 costs 135 (granted it does have skirts on it, but OKW also has the fuel penalty). A T34 will cost 80. Thats 45 and 55 fuel cheaper compared to other main battle tanks. Thats huge, even more considering a P4 bounces off a T34 sometimes.

I just think that 80 fuel is too cheap for a main battle tank. It either should be priced at about 90 or 100 imo.

T34 is slightly worse than P4 and i guess that P4 cost is the same? :snfBarton:

The 80 fuel price tag is Relic's way of saying "we cannot figure out how to buff this unit so we will just make it dirty cheap".

Who needs T34/76's when you can get SU-76's or a T34/85 that can tank damage from panzerschrecks

T34s tend to suffer in the late game once German armor has had a chance to roll out. I feel as if they needed the fuel reduction or else they would be hard to justify building otherwise with the new timing and without otherwise buffing them with better ROF or something. I seem to remember a rather long thread on here a while ago about the T34 needing a buff but can't seem to dig it up. Either way, they generally need superior numbers to be effective.

Historically it also makes sense and I like the idea of a cheaper throwaway tank. I feel as if the Ram ability rarely if ever gets used and this gives you more of a reason to use it in certain situations. I don't foresee a lot of games where a OST player would get swarmed by 34s without him being base pinned a long time. (1vs1 OKW might be a different story, but then again OKW 1vs1. always is)

80 fuel is the perfect price. This is a great change.

Popcap remains the same, so let's see how much you can spam it.

Hordes will be a thing when you can't kill them (which isn't something hard).

I'd rather they buff the T-34/76 but make the fuel cost 100 or 110. With the new patch, comes too late. It may be cheap, but vs Panthers, it can't penetrate it's frontal armor at all. Head on, it can't beat a Panzer 4. I'd like for it's penetration to be buffed a little bit.

Here's to secretly hoping that the T-34 still gives the same amount of resources to Dank Hunters scavenge kit.

I can already make like twenty T-34s in a single game with that baby, imagine how many I can make now?

Surrender while you still can. My tanks shall block out the blob.

Just because it is 20 fuel cheaper, doesn't mean it suddenly became good. A pak and a p4 supported with shrecks or fausts/ raketten and a p4j supported with schrecks, will easily deal with 3 t34-76s.

The thing basically has no health, if one dies, they will be set back 80 fuel, enough time to get your second more superior p4.

Double post, no idea what happened. lol

80 fu may be a little too cheap, but the real limiter will be mp. 310 mp is nothing to sneeze at. I'd like to test it a bit more to see how it works out. Soviet industry will be even worse now (__)
