OKW Radio Silence

What does it exactly do to the enemy forces? It does say hide your units from the enemy map but does it also prevent the solder audio chatter or notifications such as unit sniped or enemy units revealed? I use it time from time but never on the receiving end and would like to know how it effects the battle.
I believe that all it does is stop units from showing up on the minimap. Enemy units still scream in pain when they get shot.

I would like to know if anyone at all uses this ability

I think the ability is really usefull if you know your opponent uses tactical map a lot. Pretty weird to not see enemies on this for a full minute.

You can combine radio silence with encirclement for some pretty fun results.

IMO it's one of the most useful and in addition tactical abilities in the game.
You can fake a fight in the middle to bind the enemy's army and focus his concentration on this point.
Meanwhile you can flank the shit out of your enemy and the chances are high that he will take some seconds to realise. By then it is too late.

Underused because we have STG44s for a T4 unit and a call-in tank that repleaces a T4 unit...
This t4 tank is godly powerfull with its mark target, especially with pak or jpzer support.

Then why would you go for T4 with a fuel starved faction when you have this tank in the doctrine...oh wait, I have an upgrade for a T4 unit. The doctrine is flawed...

In 1v1 you dont use obers so you should forget about that ability (some kind of like in case of howitzers) in higher game modes you wait for callin first and then you build the t4 an obers, its that simple.

I'd use them in 1v1's they're strong with some vet on it
Its not that they are bad. Skipping t4 is just simply a lot better.

Would be better if OKW had the obers placed in elsewhere, not beyond T4.

But I can totally see it as useful against human opponents that need to be aware of the possibility that you're not seeing nothing when facing off a Spec Ops player.

Exactly. Plus I don't wanna be stuck on Volks and Obers the entire game. Sadly, I have to pick a doctrine to get a simple MG34 as OKW.
