Yeah blobbing dp cons into hmgs and hit the I win button sounds awesome.


Hardly an "I win" button since Hit the Dirt still has all the downsides of the delay in canceling it and exposing your squads to grenades (unless you retreat). Just a thought in that it might make the commander actually viable. Though I have no doubt that some players would inevitably try to blob DP Cons. :)

It'll be the same. They essentially just nerfed them vs. infantry so that models get sniped less ala Dank Hunters cheese.

The only problem is that the 251 and 222 changes make you build conscripts early game while sandbag, molly and atnade changes make them scale into late game worse than ever ;/

Based on percantage of automatch searching we can make a conclusion which part of community was heard again.

Guards weren't shit they were OP. PTRS should be AT and not AI and it is now so they are perfectly fine!

This is a concern; as is SU Inf scaling in general - an issue which Relic is continuing to ignore. And people are hardly quiet about it lol

No man, guards were shit before their ptrs buff. Only blabberino of guards could do something to pz4. Panzershreck and bazooka are AT weapons, but ptrs is not. You just need to play more with them before ptrs buff.

No you got me wrong there. I meant after the PTRS buff they were OP. Beforehand they were indeed shit and not viable ever

Jason lee=Legend.
Relic did more for the game in last month than in last 1.5 yrs.
Especially like how they didn't wait for patch to fall then be played and once some of these inevitable issues were found then try for a change,but pre empted some of them based on common sense,math numbers and community feedback.Great job.


I'll drink to that :)

Well, for starters, Relic changed it so it can only exist where all its counters are out on the field, so they made a bad change by making it extinct.

I dont think there ever was a USF vs 251 FHT. Regardless, USF will either have a Captain or Lieutenant (m20/m15) so technically it should be countered.

T2 Soviets has the AT gun... And soviet light armor arrives fast enough to deal with it...

My worry is that if its UP/overpriced by today's standards XD

We remember, but there are a lot more changes that have shifted the overall game since then. Zis guns, mines and guards still work, plus you can get a SOV AAHT out only a little bit later. (40 + 20 + 30 =) 90 fu for FHT, (80 + 30 =) 110 fu for AAHT.

I'd like to see how it works out.

I hope the 2cm autocannon for the 221 stays as an upgrade. The 221 really seems to perform better vs infantry.

I'd be nice if the autocannon upgrade increased armor by 2.

Flame crits have also changed which may help when trying to aT nade it

Flame halftrack wont be a problem since the old axis veterancy bonuses dont apply to it, back then it could survive 4 shots from ziz when it had Vet 2

Even with both flamethrowers attacking the same target it does less damage than the current KV-8. Not much less, but still less (8.889 for KV-8 vs 8.572 for FHT, 4.286 per flamethrower.)

How to kill it? It's a 320 HP light vehicle. An AT grenade does 100 damage along with an engine critical, a ZiS shot does 160 damage, a mine does 200 damage along with an engine critical, I'll let you do the math on what would finish it off. It also gets penetrated by small arms fire fairly easily.

Regardless of your build, you have reasonable counters available to you as Soviets. You only might be in trouble if you go double sniper/heavy T1 and neglect building any AT, in which case you deserve it because double sniper is so boring to play against :snfBarton:

The reason it was so popular is because it provided a mobile reinforce point that also deals a solid amount of damage to infantry, and with old veterancy was much harder to kill. It really strengthens the Wehr player's presence on the field. If it becomes too meta, an easy fix would be removing the reinforcement capability when it's upgraded with flamers, which forces players to choose what they want out of it. However, I think with its current stats it should be fine the way it is.
