It seems to me that Rifle Co is the only one truly viable at all stages since the new and improved flamers nullify OKW vet scaling, especially the bulletproof Volks.
Thoughts?

Airborne is a very strong commander as well. Infantry company aslo works.

Bulletproof Volks? That was pre-patch when they got -29% at vet 5.

In fact Rifle Company is the one I have problems with (I'm trying to throw it away but it still whispers to me that I need it :foreveralone: )

Well, while flamer rifle blob is deadly, it's also very map dependant.

Minsk pocket with flamer blob is not something I would go for.
But on Lieurneux... Why not? Lot of budlings in the middle.

Point is, you have no art in thich doctrine. There is phosphorus but it won't kill anything.

E8 spam? I would choose more specialised units like Scott and Jackson over generalist E8 but still it's good.

Keep in mind that in late-game Rifles are bleeding like garden, and you cannot re-equip flamer (I belive Relic did not fix it yet :foreveralone: ).

It's not bad doctrine, opoosite, it's very good, but on some maps it's better to pick up Infantry because it's better to rely on wiping potential (mortar, priest, off map) than flamers vs vet 4 Obers

Rifle, Airborne, and Infantry are best. Substitute Infantry for armor if you like

Rifle would be my choice for Close combat/smaller maps, Infantry for longer range maps, Airborne is so good that you could use that pretty much every game anyway.

But my opinion is based on my terrible newbie play :)

Definitely mechanized. The jeep can counter their kubels real easily, and the artillery leaves the HQs with a sliver of health making it much easier to kill them quickly. It's way more efficient for dealing with OKW then wher.

Mechanized is my go to counter okw. It allows me to get my M20 and AAHT out to counter okw early pushes, then recycle the vehicles to get the mp and fu for my Sherman. With good micro, I can even get a vetted sherman out of the gate (vehicle crew trading).

The wc51 is shit on most maps, best used on large maps like Vaux farmlands. The mech arty will consistently brinG okw buildings to 80% hp.

Riflecompany, Airborne company and infantry company are all very good. Armored company is also viable. All of these are viable vs both OKW and Ostheer.

Mechanized doesn't offer anything particularly useful other than an early counter to the Kubelwagen. Against Ostheer it does not offer anything at all.

Recon company is so bugged that it is not worth using at all.

Lately I force myself to play armor and flank

RE
2xRM
1xAE

It gives a little bit of edge early game since you have the AE hitting the field as soon as you have the mp.
But it is all about rushing and pushing hard because you'll have nothing to help you midgame appart from democharge.

My thought are in the rifle , recon and airborne. I know a lot of people say why recon? The title is pretty synonyms with it core purpose and function. The whole point of using this doctrine is to be able to effectively scout out the map and find the enemy positions long before they can see you. In all the doctrine itself is very balanced one as it can be used both

offensively (scouting out where the enemy has their support weapon teams or MG bunkers/halftrack HQs before maknig an attack)

and defensively (seeing enemy advancements in the distance giving you time to properly prepare defensive measures for an assault).

The doctrine can be use ethier in 1v1s or even larger team-games, anyone on your side will benefit from your support abilties because you can gather intellgence on enemy troop movements and plan engagements to your team's advantage.
