Hello.

I'm asking myself if there is any reasonable explanation for why the Sturmoffizier (OKW Breakthrough Doctrine) is not able to vet? Following the game's logic, this guy should be receiving aura vetting like the command panther.

The vetting system in CoH2 is one of the major improvements compared to CoH1 and it creates this strong feeling of connection to your units, I enjoy a lot (Vet3 Units get named in my games :)). Sturmoffizier not receiving any vet, makes me not wanna build him.

Any thoughts on that?

It is only logical at VET 5 he should receive a dance aura.

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

at vet 5 he should get a second Luger or P38 (whichever he has) that would be brilliant, just tearing shot up.

Good explanation. But then, why not just change his role? Or take him out of the game? right now he feels weird as being the only (?) unit not able to vet.

Not a problem. Just reduce vanilla aura effects and increase them again with vet. Solved.

You could just make it so his base buffs are really kinda bleh, and he gets better when he vets up.

Would be more interesting like the Panther command tank.

afaik it's because relic never got around to doing it as opposed to an actual bug/balance issue. if you know something i don't please elaborate.
