I don't think US needs help at all, but the 42 was buffed and indeed perhaps slightly overbuffed, and we'll see earlier Grenade techs now.

I'd say that exactly might become a problem.
You'll be forced to tech early and spend fuel to counter menpower only unit, because your early game units can't contest what is being thrown at them.
This screams imbalance and bad USF design.
But next changes will fix it to a point.

Iv been putting in the effort all day, but don't you think it's silly that one side has to put in so much effort versus such a lazy commander/strat?

Like you say "use combined arms", well yes, that is literally all Ostheer does.

what a shame you didn´t think the same way when arguing once and other and other againts improving USF late game, as in some Jackson threads before their last buff.

oh well, anyone knows you here, so no surprise....

I havent used the katyusha yet. Whats wrong with creeping barrage? Does it just unload the entore salvo at once or?

More or less. For 90 munitions, it unloads all rockets at a more concentrated area. To describe the area of effect, its shorter than the walking stuka highlight (whatever when you selecting an area to shoot at), but slightly fatter. Identical marker/whatever as Anti-tank tactics/commander's Anti tank bombing run.

Its a change from precision strike. Precision strike caused a katyusha to snipe walking stukas, etc, but creeping barrage allows for a higher amount of damage done to a smaller area (in rapid succession) compared to normal strike of 4 volleys.

So its pretty darn cool.

If it works as it did in alpha(which is safe assumption) then all I have to say is that oshterlitz just whines as usual without any base.

IMO if the mg42 is going to be this effective then flanking one needs to be highly rewarded. At the moment it shuts down a huge area without much of a risk.

It would've been a great patch if Relic released all of the changes that were in Alpha, but I guess they figure the CoH2 community can't handle meta shifts and that our brains would melt if they gave us too many changes Kappa.

Satisfactory changes all around except OKW as usual got shafted, and constantly fight an uphill battle against Allies compared to Wehrmacht. Yet again, every match you're forced to go Mechanised Regiment and get a flak half track or lose the game. A good patch would be where OKW isn't forced to go fast flak half track 98% of the time just so they can counter infantry.

The point is, flanking an MG doesn't usually result in a decrew unless the axis player is asleep.

I've noticed that the Z-hotkey does not respond to input after the last patch, anyone else notice this, or is it just me? I'm using the modern hotkey layout.

The MG42 and 34 didn't get a survivability buff, they still die quite easily.

MG42 is fine, keep it as it is.. its finally fun to use machineguns again and not a source of frustration. Increase their buildtime by 33% if mg42 spam gets out of hand but keep machineguns feel like machineguns please.

The "reward" for flanking an HMG is that you render it useless (it will have to re-position) giving you time to push.

Even if you don't manage to wipe it, flanking an HMG is better than getting suppressed and having to retreat :D
