Currently, all skin and decal creations can be uploaded and subscribed to without any curation by Relic. Before uploading new content, please review our modding guidelines to ensure that you're content fits within the terms and doesn't risk removal.

If you would prefer not to see custom skins or decals in your MP experience while playing with others, there is a toggle in the options screen to turn this off for you. Other players will still see skins/decal modifications unless they toggle this option off as well.

Skins and decals can be used in Custom Games (MP) but not Automatch. Currently Automatch is limited to Relic created content only.

We do not have plans to remove or change the team colors, however there are modifications using custom decals that can remove these markings.

Hope that answers some of your questions.

Relic Blurb

Is there potential for player made content to be added to the automatch pool? Similar to how DOTA2 takes player made items they feel is up to standard to be made available.

Would be nice to see community content, curated by Relic (no dicks & swastikas, pls), introduced to automatch (as suggested above). This would add some nice flair for streamers and clanmembers to show off while broadcasting. I'm happy to learn that they will be able to do so during tournament games (custom MP). Thx for the response, lardinal. <444>3

Decals and skins overall are customers maskirovka only. Hopefully relic will create some new decals and skins which can be used in Automatch, too. This would be one first step in the right direction before implementing custom-made skins or skin-mods into all game-modes.

For sure! Uniforms of infantry could possibly be moddable, too.

Hope that answers some of your questions.

Thanks lardinal for joining and answering questions for clarification, much appreciated! :)

Still no custom skins or decals on the workshop. Huh, I thought modders would be all over that.

Why no custom skins/decals in automatch if there option to turn them off for all who dont like this kind of stuff? This feature is awesome, but it pretty limited if you can use it only in custom games.

Give hello kitty panzers now!

Thanks god.

Why? People can have their skins for themselves but with the toggle option enemy players don't have to see it. So there is no advantage for anyone preventing custom skins from being used in automatch.

Whether you’re interested in building historically accurate skins and decals for your favorite army or you’re looking to explore more creative efforts, now’s your chance to create your own vehicle skins.

Searching for an automatch game with a custom skinpack (probably hundreds of megabytes (MB)) would force your opponent(s) to download the skinpack. Same would go for decals and faceplates.
