What has always bugged me when trying to be cool and building an M15 in a 2v2 is that the M15 paths trying to lead with its front...
Which is problematic as it has to shoot with its rear. A lot of times trying to select targets to shoot, the M15 will rotate so that it mainly aims its front at the target and can only shoot at the edge of its arc. Its very frustrating when you have to reverse it everywhere, and you see a squishy target, but then it rotates for whatever reason, wasting precious time shooting its cannons.
Would it be too much to ask to reverse the front and rear of the M15, so the side with gun is the front, in hopes to get rid of this problem? It always tries to align its front with the target, so this shouldnt be painful when it actually reveals its full arc of fire with the target. I always hesitate to get an M15 as i know it'll fail and die as a result of its specialness...

It has nothing to do with reversing it everywhere. If, for example, you have the AAHT firing at a gren squad, and you want it to switch targets to a 222 in the firing arc, if you right click on the 222, the AAHT will rotate so that its front is facing towards the 222. This means that to make the AAHT not act stupid, you need to tell it to switch targets, then hit the stop key, which means that it still rotates slightly and has to "spool-up" its auto-cannon again.

This. Exactly.

This problem can be easily avoided by just micro-ind its every move.
It has huge vision range, suppress gren squad, 222 show up. Reverse it in a proper posstion. Kill it. Ive only lost an aa HT to a 222 once. and thats because it was fausted.
Yes it acts dumb. but that just means u gotta stay on top of it

I don't think you understand. The 222 in question is already within the AAHTs firing arc, but issuing an attack command on it causes it to auto-rotate. It has nothing to do with reversing the AAHT towards the 222, because all that would do is move you closer to it, when that is not necessary. You don't switch the targets of a rifle squad by walking towards another target, you right click on the new target. Same should be true with the AAHT.

Think of it as a slight micro tax to pay for it's enormous early-mid strength.

I agree. While its a pain in the ass I would say the M15 is borderline OP. Its really REALLY REALLY strong. Should have some sort of drawback.

it might be a problem, but just click on the target and press stop. the unit still keeps the target priority. dont really have problem with this at ALL. you knob.

So, basically the same as switching targets with a Heavy Machine Gun.

No, Apparently everyone is misreading what he is saying.
on the field is a AA HT, a Grenadier Squad, and a 222. The AA HT is currently engaging the grenadier squad, the 222 drives up on one of the sides of the grenadier squad, but still INSIDE THE AA HALFTRACKS CONE OF FIRE, the player tells the AA HT to switch targets to the 222 - instead of just rotating its gun like a HMG team would, it turns its entire chassis resetting the time it takes for its auto-cannon to start firing again.
In a different situation where the AA HT kills the grenadier squad as the 222 shows up and switches targets by itself its auto-cannon will continue firing (if it still has ammo in clip).
I haven't had an issue with it but I can see where he is coming from.
