What maps do you miss from CoH1
Posts: 513
Was playing some 2v2 today and played rails 5 times in a row, made me think about all the other maps from CoH1 that I enjoyed - Lorraine (controversial?), McGechaen's War and Linden..
What about everyone else? What maps would you like to see added to CoH2?
Lots of Love,

What was called the 2v2 pretty big one with a lot of hedges? That one was nice.

What I miss the most? Setting up multidirectional flanks with carefully timed BAR/flamer pops.
Defending multidirectional flanks with mg micro, wire, mine placement. That truly was the pinnacle of the CoH franchise.

And the top-hand side had about 50 buildings and one fuel point so germans always put 10 mgs in those buildings

The scheldt, Lyon, Hochwald cap, Achelous river...those were the maps that tested the true "skill" of the players! ( i think COH 2 needs those maps to bring back the nostalgia of COH 1. Keepo)
Hochwald gap the map where I played my first ranked ever as PE!

Duclair was a really awesome 2v2 map, imo. Also, for 1v1, Sturzdorf and this community-created map with the crashed railway in the middle (although it seemed to be PE favoring), how was it called again?

Don't remember the name, it was some sort of prison facility with a big clusterfuck in the middle of the map surrounded by guard towers and barbed wire for 4v4s.

I think you are talking about Montargis. Still played in 4v4auto (yes, that is still a thing in COH1) but they must have changed the map. The top is now a +5 muni with 2 x +10's next to it. So you go top for muni, center for fuel.

Every single one of those was an original automatch map. No joke.
When you think about that, it is kind of amazing COH was the success it was.

I'm in the minority that enjoyed St. Mere Dumont.
Argentan Xroads, community but still.
There was a night time map at an airfield, 2 sunken in areas on the mid-vp, I didn't mind that one.

I can say there are plans afoot, which will hopefully involve Strategists in testing adapted maps; it is in the planning stages right now, so it may be 2-3 months before you see an outcome.
We could put up a poll here, if you wish.

Ruins of Ruen?
It was an automatch map I think but I think too many thought it was too US friendly.
