Guard rifle infantry

Guard Rifles are colloquially known by me and my teammates as "Loot Goblins" for their tendancy to drop weapons if upgraded with DPs. There was recently a change where PTRS are more accurate against infantry, which is kind of cool. I had a random thought about what might happen in the future.
Random idea:
- PTRS damage doubles (40->80)
- Only 1 PTRS is given per squad
- Accuracy tweaked so it's not necessarily gibbing dudes like crazy
This is probably stupid, but it would mean one fewer special weapon in the squad and thus Guards with DPs are less likely to drop stuff. It also means that a direct hit from a PTRS would turn an infantry model to paste (except the newly buffed ost sniper, assuming it's on full health), which kind of makes sense given that it's a huge AT rifle.

This. PTRS is going to be good if its a versatile generalist weapon and quite interesting too especially for Tank Hunter Tactics. With 80 damage, it would be a sniper unless you nerfed it again back into being AT only, at which it would still not be very effective while ruining its new niche.

This was an issue a long time ago. PTRS could snipe models which was a pain in the ass with it's great accuracy. There are two options IMO:
- Give them 3 PTRS guns, allow them to put their PTRS away (Like Sturmpioneers)
- Keep the 2 PTRS gun, reduce accuracy, increase damage and RoF, greatly increase the accuracy of their Mosin-Nagant.

Vanilla Guards: 3x SVT, 3x Mosin (Mid-Long range) frag grenade
Close range upgrade: 3xPPSH replace mosin, add smoke grenade ability(?)
Long range upgrade: Replace 2x SVT with DPs
Tank Hunter upgrade: 2xPTRS, add AT grenade or button ability
I don't see how the recent massive PTRS accuracy buff is supposed to make the PTRS more sufficient in it's role (light vehicle counter). Hitting vehicles isn't a problem, aim/cooldown time is what makes it hard to hit fast vehicles popping out of cover/range. The acc buff just sounds like they've added mini snipers to a 6 man LMG squad.
