Well, CoH1 did not have integrated Steam Workshop support, which is why a few mods went the Steam Greenlight route. I am not sure we would qualify, since mods can only be loaded in a multiplayer lobby, and can already be subscribed to in the Steam Workshop. It is a nice thought, though.

We don't have a testing group as of yet, as most of what we've been testing is functionality rather than gameplay balance, due to all our new features. We will eventually need assistance translating into other languages, but we'll need to first get everything done in English before we can hand it off to anyone else, and right now most of our text is placeholder or blank.

When the time comes we'll put out the word for assistance :)

There's definitely similarities, and our earliest prototypes many years ago were even closer because they had persistence. But both of us only worked with the Europe in Ruins team for a short time - and at different times, so we didn't meet up until after we'd quit - and we both left since we had different aims.

Vanilla maps, we are not changing engagement ranges much, and all penetration figures are for 100m.

Aww shucks. Well hopefully this will still be the mod that gives purpose making larger maps at a 1000x1000 size.

The game does not take well to changes in engagement ranges, even with a zoomed out camera. There are some mods that do this, and it just does not work well.

Yes sadly I've noticed the game doesn't handle those kind of things very well. Even so hopefully what you guys are building will give purpose to making maps larger than the avg vanilla map sizes that are getting around.
