Brainstorm: Encirclement Doctrine Stuka Break Supply Line

Break Supply Line feels artificial. If it's your only option to decapture a point, chances are your CtP that follows won't last long before the enemy casually recaptures that point. Plus, between Stormtroopers and Breakthrough, there isn't much purpose for this ability; both alternatives simply do more and can be applied to a larger variety of situations.

So I ask you CoH2.org, if you could, what would you replace Break Supply Line with that simultenously fits the Encirclement theme and doesn't feel redundant?

Id say the more options to make close the pocket effective, the better.

You could use it on a deeper sector when they force your storms off and are about to reconnect.

I recently got it via War Spoils and tried it out: it seems sometimes it doesn't neutralize the enemy points. In any case it seems like a cheap man's ripoff of the regular Stuka Dive Bomb, which does exactly the same thing, if only confined to sector points.

And you can fire it blindly into FoW.

In the end I judged that Puma would be the best; less munition drain, less straightforward; more AT power for the doctrine; fast vehicle that can decapture when using the ability.

Yes but why pay double for it if all you plan to do is bomb points. You could ignore the Close the pocket strike and spend all game disabling key points and VPs. Almost like a Werh partisan doc.

It doesn't always work because it hardly does any damage to caches and won't neutralize a cached point, also it does 0 splash

You could still spam their VP with in the late stages of the game. And you cant cache high resource points.

Whatever the case, it has too much overlap with Stormtroopers and Breakthrough. Sprint and Stormtroopers already eat your munitions, let alone Close the Pocket; the selling point, so the doctrine does not need another slapped on poorly thought through psuedo-relevant ability.

Why not replace breakthrough with conversion of fuel to munitions?

Because:

1. That ability is a bit OP.
2. Breakthrough is pretty useful for the doctrine. Maybe it could do with costing less fuel or munitions instead of fuel, but it helps a lot.
