So as thread title suggests it is my theory that we are going to be getting an in game store in the future. When I can't say. Implementation I'm not sure of either. But to help you gain some perspective as to how I have come to this conclusion I'll show you what I found the other day while digging around in game files. So without further ado...

Not directly related, but I noticed in game the other day there is a link to the "store" when you open your footlocker (the place you select your commanders/bulletins/skins/victory strike/decals).

I think from what ive read in teh locale the warspoil system will get a overhaul
and will be changed into these mystery packs.
They will contain commanders, commander abilities, skins, bulletins etc.
One of each
the rest can be for durability. repair your worn out stuff

Yes that's the basics of it. Somehow an in game currency, currently known as 'Supply', will also be awarded somehow. which is how we can 'purchase' and repair items. Also salvage leads us to believe we can FINALLY get rid of unwanted items.

In CoH Online I made enough supply to repurchase all the good stuff. Besides CoHO wasn't that bad. It was less competitive and balanced than CoH1, but so is CoH2 in its current state. The main thing that pisses me off is I paid a good money ($100 RIP) for a game that is going f2p now. It is an inferior business model compared to CSGO and Dota 2, but CoH2 was never going to be on that level anyway. If these coming changes makes the game more fun to play, great, because CoH2 becoming a major esport is a pipe dream

This is a common but IMO not quite appropriate point of view. Are you also pissed of that people bought CoH2+WFA during various steam sales for maybe 20$ (which is not the 100$ less you paid, but almost)? ;)

We all have many war spoils and we will salvage them in to new game currency (or can be used on repair). New players will have naked ass and they will pay for repairing.

Sales are one thing, giving away a game after loyal fans were screwed by the most worthless CE of all time is another. They still need to do something to comp the people that paid $40 extra for $5 worth of content. You hardly ever see a paid game go f2p, but giving something as a thank you to the people that actually paid money for it is just common courtesy.

This.

People who did pay that should get a unique commander or something similar and I'm not talking about a faceplate Relic... I personally am not in this category of people but I certainly believe this should happen.

Its been a long and painful time. If it does goes F2P people who got the CE when THQ was going under should be recompensed for their support and patience.
