Pack Howie after vet2 is insane, that HE round is like circle of 1.5X (radius) of demo explosion, just tested it the round and as deadly as LefH18 howie (assume LefH18 shoot as where they are told), but far more accurate, reload much faster, and able to move.
Maybe it is the standard of what Howitzer should do, LefH18 is quite a shit gun.

too easy to decrew those weapons.... never seen a vet 4/5 lelG.
Because they actually can't hit shit.
Squad wiping has nothing to do with the unit which does the wiping, it's because the infantry formation inside/outside of cover. So every AOE projectile can wipe your whole squad. T34s, PzIVs, Katyusha barrage, Stuka, 120mm mortar (which is a BEAST) even grenades.
If you want to rant about insta-wipes, please at least chose a unit with is not over-priced and under-performing ATM. If this thread was about Katyusha or Stuka it would be fine, but seriously, Pack howie and LeIG?

I say remove squad wipes entirely from this game. No unit gets killed and at the end all players win.

Please read the patchnotes . As already stated the pack-howitzer no longer gains this ability.
The only time the pack-howie shoots heat rounds is when the barrage (3 shots) is used and that is only after reaching vet 2.

First off all. Tripwire so gud, 10 ammo for a whole dead squad ? + sight.

Mortars may be better than both. But pack howitzers can squadwipe. Especially at vet 2 when its damage doubles. And people want howitzers buffed? Yeah lets go back to the whole wipe 8+ squads a match due to howitzer barrages. Fuck artillery its just a hand of God emplacement that deletes squads that you can do little about if you're not constantly shifting every squad you have that is within range every 20 seconds. Mortars are fine because their AOE is small enough to where it doesn't really cause 1 hit full health instawipes.
You should keep up with the patch notes and ninja changes.
It doesn't get anymore bonus damage at vet2, its now just 480mp inferior range mortar with long range, underwhelming and inaccurate 3 shot barrage.
ISG is vastly superior to it in all aspects again.
Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

There's no doubt that axis mortars are good. Especially now once they hit vet 3, which can be fairly easy to obtain most games. That range buff is quite awesome. The leig was nerfed and the pack howi was buffed essentially switching their roles.
Axis suffer from squad wipes the most due to their smaller squad size.

One of those times when the god panther was driving around the battle field as usual its using blitz and smoke for the "get out of free jail card" exclusivity to Germany, its reversing with a quarter health and getting away when suddenly howie fires a round and boom it hits panther to out of control with a convenient crashing into a squad killing them. Ever since then i never play a match without it.
