Custom commanders?

Idk why some of you are so angry at the fact that they are at least trying to do something to improve the game experience. Would you rather them do nothing and let you guys continue whining? If the game is in a good state right now, then people wouldn't be making angry posts directed at relic.
Finally, calm the fuck down, they havent even released the official info yet. If you guys are so angry, go start a new thread bashing relic for COH 3 they havent released yet.

Of course the idea is a disaster in terms of balancing but imagine a system like this:
You have 10 points for each commander.
Each ability costs points.
'Better' abilities cost more.
So for example a Tiger Ace costs 5-6 points, then you have to fill the rest with 4 abilities that cost 1 point. So you take tiger ace with smoke barrage or something like that. This would prevent accusing the system.
This right here. This is the only way custom commanders have a shot at being balanced.

1. People would come up with best possible loadouts, filling the spots as well as they could, the meta would revolve around certain custom commanders.
2. You would need to learn your opponents commanders everytime
3. What would happen to the old commanders you paid for?
Custom commanders in custom games would be ok. Just keep it off automatch.

I found some Custom Commander images lurking in the files hopefully these aren't the final products. I'm assuming they're placeholders for the future or perhaps they're the default icon before we pick a commander image to insert there (like skins, bulletins etc.)
There are also larger ones like the ones you see on the steam store pages or here on the Commander Guides. I'll post them if needs be but they're not really any different.

The thing that he is writing about how existing commanders and their abilities will be transformed into portraits and "unhinged" abilities is one of the possible ways this will play out.
But... he bases it on nothing except the fact that Cynthia said "If you have duplicate skins, decals, and commanders, I suggest you hang on to them".
The problem is, literally every single possibility that Relic could implement will hinge on utilizing existing war spoils in one way or the other. So Cynthia's statement cannot be taken as a basis for this highly specific speculation.
The likely thing with war spoiks is uncrafting them for "supply", for example. Maybe uncrafting commanders at will for getting custom abilities. Maybe combining 3 skins to get an ability token (like TF2 scrap metal). Or keeping old commanders alongside the custom ones. Etc.

It would make it basically impossible to early pick when it came to countering enemy commanders since most allied commanders all have the same units.
Seeing your opponent had shocks or guards would mean nothing, while right now it allows you to figure out which of the 3 commanders he took.
It would just result in every match Ostheer going Jeagar Armor/Luftwaffe Supply/CAS.

In the last patch (Feb 16th) , Relic implemented some filters on commander loadouts. Theres 2 filters:
*units and buildings
*artillery
