No, not as a straight replacement anyway. Not only would it remove a unit completely from the game as there is no point in getting t34/76 if you have straight access to t34/85s, the 800hp pool is too unbalancing early on due to easily being able to brute force through antitank guns with it. If I were to add them I'd require both T3 and T4 for them.

I am sorry but is there currently a point in getting T-34/76 to begin with that I am not realizing? People in my experience either have a doctrine with T-34/85, IS-2, KV-1 or ISU-152, and at none of those cases do they bother to get T3 in order to get a T-34/76 that is worse than Panzer IV in everything. It has 800 hp as opposed to 640, how many more AT gun shots can it take thanks to that? One?

It has worse veterancy. Panzer IV gets a useful ability at Vet 1 and armor at vet 2 on top of its already superior starting armor. And then you have Panzerschreck infantry covering Panzer IV, and the MG upgrade to go on the Panzer IV.

I say that creates a fair balance where T-34/85 is the better tank in raw stats while Panzer IV still has something going for it. What is it that currently justifies T-34/76's existence? What is it good for? Its existence makes as much sense as giving Ostheer a snub nose Panzer IV and making the long 75mm doctrinal. If that sounds stupid, then what do you make of the current T-34/76? If you can, you could try repurposing the T-34/76 into a command tank, and doctrines that bring in T-34/85 would bring a command 76 instead. Ostheer has a similar thing and it works. You don't lose the model, you add variety, Soviet T3 no longer sucks, Soviets actually have something non-doctrinal to hang on. It's a win win.

T3 is built as a matter of tempo. You certainly won't go for it if behind, but at equal or ahead, you want to pull out a T70 or T34/76.

You might want to look into bringing the EF tank destroyer's accuracy up to par with the WFA TDs, specifically, the SU85, Elefant, and Stug. ISU was the only one to receive a higher accuracy value at the same time it had it's shells split into HE and AP rounds post-WFA.

Hey cruzz.

a word about mines

what about giving each faction a coh1 style mine, built by their respective engineer? that would make the game 100 times more enjoyable for a lot of people

and what about replacing the US rifleman mine that they get with infantry operations doctrine with the COH1-esque mine, give it to airborne, assault engineers too!

i think the M45 would benefit greatly from having increased close range pen; say a 50-75% chance to pen a medium at close range. something like 200-125-50 (numbers for scale only) for the falloff. this way it could fight mediums at close range but wouldn't be much of a threat to anything bigger than a lusch at long range and would do nothing to heavies. currently the thing is amazing against the lusch and shit against everything else, except infantry, which it snipes.

I think your idea is great, Nuke. Urban defense could benefit a lot from such a change to the mini-AT gun, which is only useful if you do the troll tactic of spamming FHQs and Conscripts, skipping every tech. For most games you want mortar spam behind that FHQ so you can get the far better ZiS-3 anyway. +1

yeah, the way i see it, soviets don't need another subpar unit. the zis is competent but far from amazing in the AT role. given how little role light vehicles play in the game right now and how little pen, and damage (80 iirc), the M45 has, i think a pen boost would be a good idea to allow it to scale better and be used as a stop gap.

I know a few guys that actually use the m45 to great effect when abusing the FHQ. Atleast 3 get bought and thats enough to force off anything below a panther. The first 20 minutes of the game where you've held both fuel points because of the FHQ means thats all you need. Speaking purely from exerience atleast.

Every patch breaks mods. Sure you could start a game with the tuning pack, but it would all be entirely broken considering this mod changes things that have been changed since the mod was made.

All my modding efforts are in various stages of broken from each patch considering all my mods were just attempts to present a more balanced and well-designed game more than, well, a mod.
