Hey folks, a few things:

1. We are very aware of your thoughts on War Spoils. It's something still under development, but I do not have a lot I can share with you at this time.
2. Money spent on marketing efforts does come at a 'cost' to feature development. They're different budgets.
3. Once there is an update on the War Spoils situation, I will let you know.

Early-war factions would be cool, but they'd need to enable a comprehensive "random faction" system that allows enabling / disabling different factions you want to play for easier matchmaking. And even then matchmaking would be split between people who like early-war and people who like late-war.


Cool idea! Won´t happen.. >:( Someone makes a Mod please.. :(

I've honestly reached the stage now when it's become pretty clear to me that no matter what we ask for in terms of concrete changes to the game, they won't be delivered on.

You think it's hard to find a game with AB <-> CD, imagine it as AB <-> CD | E <-> F

The hordes have been given a taste of sugary big tanks. They will simply crave more.

Add a breakdown mechanic and realistic speed. Make them very vulnerable to infantry. Make them awesomely potent against other tanks and buildings only.

In other words make them micro-intensive and difficult to master. Make them a bit of a risk. Make them *tactical*

Well if they don't fix it soon everyone may as well go play LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. It wont be much different.

Funnily enough the British Faction from COH1 don't seems so bad now do they!

Seriously though. It need to be fixed I looked into it (privately), its not so bad 1v1, 2v2 NOT COOL. Custom matches for example a 4v4 its disastrous beyond game breaking.

  • A risk-like map is being introduced to multi-player as a meta game which will encourage more even faction distribution during matchmaking.
  • No new factions are planned
  • 1 commander remains for Osteer, 2 for USA, and 2 for OKW. No more commanders for Soviet.
  • Focus is now on Dawn of War 3


Any source because that doesn't seem like 5 year dev time to me

im almost certain sega got the rights to the DOW IP after THQ went bankrupt


I think SEGA got Warhammer thats why CA are making a Warhammer TW game but i don't think they have 40K as tonnes of mobile games for it have been realsed

We're not even halfway through the 5-year-plan, we won't hit the middle until June 25th. They're not going to abandon the game for a different project. Especially after doing all the ESL work.

The new year has been and gone.
Ardennes Assault is well and truly out the door.
And CoH2 has racked up another exciting set of hideous balances.

So now it's time start speculating about what balance beasties will be introduced to run the game ragged next, will be introduced next into the game.

My guess -

Italy

Brits vs Germans

Half fascist Italian/Half German force

Weak early game infantry, strong late game fallschirmjagers (think Cassino)
OP armour (because that's what always happens with the Axis) Panzer IIIs with rapid firing 7.5cm shortbarrels, lots of armour. Non-doctrinal Elefants...
Semovente 105s (similar to the StuH

Brits

Indian and Gurkha troops, generally rubbish (as usual with allied troops, whatever the reality)

Strong non-doctrinal artillery

Awesomely powerful Sherman Firefly (or if they really want to mix things up, a Challenger)

As well as the Bren gun carrier to hard counter the Kubelwagen so all allied players have to buy it.
