Give Allies units that can scale well against Germans and you wont see cheese as much.

Volks are fine. yesterday i had a game on the crossing in the woods where my single panther had to face 6 85's . while i reached the popcap limit. consider the fact that the soviets do not need to tech and mark target its nearly impossible for the okw to stand up against the soviets rather large economic advantage. if i had no volks with shreks my panther would be overwhelmed under 85 spam.

You are aware of what 6 SU85's cost right?

And its not that the Soviets don't need to tech, its the fact that you're actively discouraged from it: excluding the SU85, maxim and maybe two other units your entire tech tree sucks, while your call ins are remotely competent.

eh, the soviet lower tiers are solid, although t1 leaves you a gaping lack of AT, but t3 has nothing to deal with anything beyond a IV as well as mediocre or weak AI options and t4 has the su-76...

Oh beautiful demos. My favourite counter to blobs. Boom. I've gotten 4 Volkswagen with one before. And 2 had full vet.

This now comes from someone who mostly plays okw but rarely blob
while i play with a lot of inf i try to attack from several sides

Countering blobs need more micro than blobbing...

How to deal with blobbing 5-8 squads (
for USA

2 or more 50cals with 3-4 rifles and or howitzers will easily fend of any blob and with good howitzer hit's punish him bad (vet 2 pack howitzer)
a blob with 5-7 rifles/fallies
a sherman will bleed a lot of mp but risky against more than 3-4 volks
flak halftrack


for Soviets
maxims are not that effective but work
2-3 shocks will crush any blob
pak-arty/su 87-arty is devastating
demos and mines
mortar + mg's
Katyusha/B4
isu/is2



for OH
2-3 mg's and hope they don't get smoked + as much grens as rifle/conscripts
2 mg's + 2 mortar + 2-4 grens

spam obers
flak halftrack (only if you went mech hq)

First OKW has no non-doc vehicle snare and the pak with the shortest range, schrecks are needed
You can't afford to throw a grenade before you got 1 schreck and than you need another schreck because püppchen is ...
Mines are risky because they delay your schreck...
The whole early/mid-game you are starving for schrecks
Normally you need 3 schreck-volks + something else to fend of medium tanks or a panther/jagtpanzer 4
3 schrecks are 270/337,5 mun, ammo you always have to invest (lose a squad an it's 360/450 mun)
after 2-3 schrecks you finally can think about using ammo for something else (boring and bad game design i know)
OH is even worse regarding ammo
USA i don't played enough usa for a well-grounded statement but normally i can spend ammo as i like without loosing to the next vehicle
SU the biggest ammo sink faction in the game you must equip all your squads with ... with hmm ... nope you don't! just spam nades/mines/demos/offmap and pak-arty
sometimes you get flamers on penals and pios but that's it
The different ammo dependency is probably intended, great job relic..
