Making separate threads since I think they merit separate discussion and voting. Is the ISU-152 balanced now? Post replays! Please don't vote without testing the changes!

played about 7 games using the ISU and one game facing the ISU. I think it is balanced now. Needs more babysitting in regards to switching shells, since the different ammo types have noticeable differences. It is not the change i would have preferred, but it should be less OP now.

Well, its not 'always anti all' anymore and at any given time there is a hardcounter that you can just frontally bumrush.

It was a great change, but the unit is still over performing. I have tested it in like 6 games post patch and it's not that hard to switch the ammo when facing different targets. Its accuracy against infantry is still too high and a lot of insta-wipes happen. Personally I didn't have problem with it being an Anti-Everything unit. The only thing that bugged me (and still does) is the no warning insta-wipes. I think either the accuracy or the AoE should get nerfed. With the new cover system (which is great) Axis have hard time playing late game.

It can still squad wipe with he rounds which is the main concern. It needs a scatter nerf

Or why not both. Isu has to decide which ammo to fire

It is very good now. Have faced it few times and used it once after patch.

It still has potential if covered well. If not, then you can really surprise it with its pants down.

It's not that big of a deal really. The problem was (and still is) accuracy and damage against infantry. Reduce the AoE and increase the scatter.

i was always wondering why they couldnt keep the old isu but making it less accurate versus infantry. Seems like it is a lot easier to implement

That was my point, ammo. You have figue out what shells are in use.

Not just easier, but also better balance-wise IMO. Look at IS2 for example, it's good against both armor and infantry, but its not like ISU (I know the guns are different and everything, I'm just talking about balance here). It does sometimes wipe infantry but not that often, so you have time to react.

Voted no due to it's ability to squad wipe with one shot, far too often. Everything else is fine, I don't think this can be fixed though. It either needs to be all AT or all AI, not both even with the switch of ammo. It's just too good at both.

I think its AI is still too good, especially with the new squad cover behaviour. And contrary to Ele/JT, it is always useful, due to its anti-everything-design. No matter where it is, it can always wreak havoc.

It is an improvement over the previous design but still needs tweaks regarding its AI abilities which are too potent.

Had a game with the ISU last night and it felt completely off, was asking the rest players if it was changed an everybody was no, it was not.

It was a ninja change. Nothing is really changed, but now you have to chose ammo type for ISU (HE or AT shells) which has a 11 seconds cool down.
