I dont care about your stats I care about game balance which is still broken. As I say to somebody else unless you have something usefull to say just shut up.

Stats ARE fact. They determine what happens in the game.

At max range, the ISU has 50% chance to do 240 damage on a hit. The Elephant has 100% chance to do 320 damage on a hit.

Is a fact.

Well, you can look at it from the other way.

What if the IS-2 user had bad luck and all shots penetrated? Should the damage on penetration be lowered then because the IS-2 had died super fast where normally it would have survived twice as long (taking 50% chance to pen to simplify the equation).

Both your and mine example have equally big impacts on the game and both rely on RNG.

i guess i should've been clear on my first post.

i think armour values for heavies and super heavies are too high. and getting away with a sliver of health left with those heavies aren't too rare due to so many shots not penetrating . this would be a way to mitigate that.

so what i am saying is: i have no problem tanks getting punished. but ridunculous armour values of heavier tanks don't get punished too often. so i think deflection damage could help with that problem.

Dude we are not playing the same game.. You are playing something else so I think you should not be on this forum.

I'm pretty sure he's playing the same game. The ISU may be a nasty infantry killer but it pales in comparison to the Elefant when it comes to AT capabilities. It's not a matter for debate either - the stats of these units are freely available and the Elefant quite clearly has better penetration, damage and armour.

Incidentally, the PAK also has better pen and fires faster than the ZIS - even post-patch.

Guys... This is not an ISU vs ELEFANT thread. God every single thread becomes like this at some point.
The thing is, a small bit of deflection damage (depending on the base damage, unit armor ,ect.) make some units less Invincible (KT,JT,ISU,IS2).

It'd be great on zookas and shrecks. Give em something do do.

I would like to see deflection damage on certain AT units (Heavy AT like M36, Pak 43, and up) and on artillery units / aircraft which would be hitting the thinly armoured roof.

There is already deflection damage in the game, just not every unit/ability does it.

Deflection damage would be a buff for allies against OKW lategame supertank cheese

I'd be 100% for it

Watch it there. Some people may call you allied fanboy if you say it like that.

Anyway, I'm 100% for it as well. I'm getting tired of seeing some tanks bouncing off shot after shot with their strong armour. If you think about it, IS-2 can be buffed if this is implemented.

@spajn Does the 120mm mortar really wipe that much? Its shell doesn't seem to wipe people so well from what I see. It's saying something since I get bad RNG every game [Panzer IV shells bounce off T-342 times in a row, mortar shell not hitting the target, AT gun missing shots a lot (record is missing a T-34 4 times in a row:crazy:), Howitzers missing it's target for 3 barrages in a row bla, bla, bla]

Problem I see, what's microing for if you face the front a tiger armour towards a t-34 only to be killed because of deflection damage, seems silly

It is interesting to see how interchangeably 'IS-2' and 'ISU' appear to be in people's arguments.

as i said, i want deflection damage to be like 40. so deflecting shots instead of getting penetrated will still save you like 120 damage in most cases and 200 damage rarely.

i also think heavy tanks are way too superior to medium tanks anyway. especially tiger v. t34 / p4 v. is2.

but i do see your point though. maybe only at guns should get deflection damages of like 80 because they penetrate really really unreliably against heavies.

I agree on the heavy tanks are too strong compared to their counter parts, but should be addressed in a different way I believe ways that many respective players have proposed
