Is anyone playing this game with steady 60 fps?

2500K @4.3Ghz
Powercolor 7970Ghz
16GB Ram
Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3-iSSD (20gb iRST cache)
1440x900 High details Low AA

In-game benchmark shows me @ 50 fps (up from 42fps after I swapped out my GTX580 for the 7970).

I have not experienced any slowdowns in-game post-patch like many users have - up until this last patch !! I had some very bad stuttering last night, which I attributed to some pre-AA ninja patches that may have been going on during my game.

I have a very fast comp (290 and i5 2500k) and the game performance is terrible. Game starts out at 100fps+ but bad programming and network code causes unit response to plummet and framerate to drop into the 40's the more stuff is going on. This game is from a technical perspective one of the worst-performing titles out there.

I noticed turning V-sync off let the video card reach higher fps. My max fps jumped from 50 to 70!

I run 60 FPS easily. Max out everything except Vsync off and AA to low. I run 2560X1440 so high anti aliasing is not necessary and Vsync isnt necessary unless you see lots of tearing. Vsync will roughly cut performance in half sometimes, I strongly suggest turning it off unless you get major tearing.

Thanks for confirming this, with my current setup (in my sig) i'm averaging 50fps with everything max - Vsync off - AA low on 1920x1080.

Tip for good better performance : put anti aliasing on low. Any higher makes no difference and just decreases performance.

Everything ultra. V sync off, SMAAx16 (Radeon Pro) @ 1080p

The in game Anti-Aliasing is complete shit. If you have an AMD card download Radeon Pro and enable SMAA. Even SMAA 1x looks A MILLION TIMES BETTER than AAx16

FX 6300 OC @ 5.0 GHz

Sapphire R9 290

120 FPS cap a 144Hz Lightboosted monitor
120 FPS Average
60 FPS Low

I have a 290 overclocked under water and an i5 2500k at 4.9 ghz. 1080p and textures on high and graphics on medium. Everything else turned off or lowest possible. I get about 110-115 when the game starts and then once there are like 4-5 units, it dips to 30-45 or just outright freezes.

This game is coded so badly it's fucking disgusting. It's virtually unplayable at a high level by the end-game and the other guy can easily just blob and a-move into me because its impossible to micro under such conditions.

Hey mongoloid mind posting COMPREHENSIVE system specs? Driver version included? I'm getting a rock solid 120FPS at all times with an R9 290 with ultra everything too...

My specs:
i5 2500k, Geforce 970 and 8 gigs of RAM.

Resolution at 1080p, AA on low, rest on highest possible. Usually the game runs at 60FPS, although when I move the camera fast, or when there's a lot happening on the screen I do get frame drops. Nothing that makes it unplayable though.

Before I got this GPU I used to be running CoH2 at 60FPS ALWAYS (as in never any frames dropped), but I ran the game at low-medium settings I believe.

Edit: Ofcourse, VSync is turned off. Always turn VSync off, unless you're noticing major screen tearing.

I found this Benchmark article to be very enlightening.

Tested a 1v1 game vs the computer, my FPS was mostly around 60 when not much happened it was 80ish, lowest at 40-50. Incendiary victory strike brought it down to 25 :D

Gonna try a 2v2 game with these settings in automatch, they are much more demanding performance-wise.

Graphics:

1920x1080 @ 60 Hz, 100% gameplay resolution
All settings on maximum, except snow detail low (wasn't a winter map anyways when I tested)
AA off
Vsync off

Specs:

Intel i5 3570k @ 3,4 GHz (stock speed)
8 Gigs of RAM
GTX 680

I feel like the automatch performance is a lot worse than in custom games, both in command delay and general performance. I have no idea what would cause this, can't be the servers because the custom games also go through the same battleservers.

Btw, I noticed that the Chrome browser eats up shitloads of RAM so you might wanna turn it off while playing. Especially if you have only 8 gigs, since CoH2 tends to eat nearly half of that when you're not even in a game.

Edit: tried a 2v2 with a freshly started game - similar performance to the 1v1 game I had. Best bet is probably to restart CoH2 after every game until the performance is fixed.

Haha, that might contribute to it but even with having just 5 it eats up a lot of RAM.

i get stable 60fps
1080p
AA off
Vsync off
everything high

i5 4670k @4.4ghz
8gb ram
asus 7970ghz 3gb

i'd like to get stable 145fps like in every other game (having a 144hz monitor), but i haven't encountered any graphics settings that make this posssible yet.

Can you please elaborate what you did? I have a friend that has an Nvidia card and performance issues with CoH2.

Sure. firsly my pc is msi gs70 2qe with gtx970m vc, you can check other specs. i was getting low fps between 2-25 both in game and options test. it doesnt matter which settings i change, my fps was always low. read all forums and finally tried lowering the resolution to 1280x970 and it still sucks.

then i tried to download lastest drivers for video card. my driver was up to date but it downloaded a program named geforce experience, i run it and it asked me if i want to optimise my games, i let it optimise coh2 after a few start,close(coh2). and booom, almost my all settings were set to ultra except anti alising(low) and i am getting almost 60 fps. hope it helps, let me know if you need any more info.
