This thread more than anything explains our relation to power. A guy who founded a clan out of pure ressentiment becomes a advertising machine.

Advertising? Hardly. I went into Relic as a skeptic and remain one after leaving the building, just less so. Part of my job is life is to be an auditor. I look at evidence and form opinions. My opinion of Relic has changed from what I physically observed. No more theories. Proof was in the evidence.

I'm asking the community to support Relic, the creator of the game we spend so many hours playing. I can only talk in generalities but they are working on a lot if not all of multiplayer community concerns in some way. Even really obscure ones. I like this. You should like it too. Consider supporting them now as a sign of good faith or wait until all the stuff is released. I know where I stand on the issue.

PS: Relic knows all about my resentment. They went through my posting history.

Because in spite of the bugs and balance, the game is still the best game in the world.

I think some of the communitys anger is based from the lack of communication from Relic. Me, and I guess a lot of other people too, wouldn't have had a clue about this if you didn't tell us that.

Hi Napalm,

i think the beta and observer modes is a huge step forwards. When later at home i will preorder the AA just to show my support - im not a single player guy.

In my humble opinion relic is on the best way to get their shit together.

Best Regards

The main reason why I won't buy AA before it is released, is simply that I spend all my time in MP. I wouldn't play single player because I like the mp too much. I know there are some people that just play single player and this will be good for them.

AA is not an expansion. It is a new game that happens to share a program Short Cut.

Seriously - for a few $'s more at Steam - and EVEN CHEAPER if you shop elsewhere you can get an ACTUAL FULL AAA GAME that'll have a massive player base..

I like Napalm's posts and commitment, and the whole Bears thing makes me laugh. I'm also trying to be a more constructive and polite community member. The last thing I want is an argument with Napalm.

Sadly, I can't agree about AA (which, being in the UK, ain't 'just forty bucks'). It's not a new game. The core engine and assets I already paid for. There are no new units I can see.

The reason I hope Relic take note of people like me is (a) I'm one of those DLC-relaxed people usually and (b) I can easily afford AA should I have chosen to pre-order (which would usually be a given for me).

But I'm not buying it until the price reflects content.

I've been burnt by the Collector's Edition rip-off. If Relic were serious about making up for that, they'd have thought about a discount for CE owners.

As it is, that money is going towards Dragon Age Inquisition. I'm not buying AA on a point of principle. That's just the way I roll as a consumer. Sorry.

If Relic do read these forums please take note. Many customers have long memories and your handling of the CE thing was shameful. AA's price point as is compounds the sense of nickel-and-diming disregard for us.

Could you fill me in on what happened with the collector's edition?

The CE wasn't cheap. I pre-ordered it just before the THQ / Sega thing. When Sega published the CE stuff that was promised wasn't delivered.

Relic's attitude? Tough shit.

Yes I remember the CE was like 70-90 dollars for some very marginal stuff (DLC commanders, some skins and a faceplate).

I waited until it dropped to like 22 dollars to purchase it

So a campaign that has 18 missions which probably all take about an hour and you can complete in multiple ways is 6 hours?

18 missions? oh damn that's a lot!

Neither do I, because I didn't get most of them when Relic / Sega reneged on the deal.

I'm not here to argue with anybody. I've stated as much stuff as I could in a factual form. At the end of the day all of us are consumers to the products Relic produces. It is your choice as a consumer to buy something or not. After seeing what is going on in the studio I feel that they can count on my support.
