If it truly has some innovative features, i might buy it. If not, then i doubt anyone will buy it.


Its the innovative feature part that scares me. I want relic to make money and succeed, but IMO their approach to releasing new factions/units/commanders has been convoluted. It seems they just keep making their job harder by constantly releasing new things when they haven't balanced what they have already.

Release ---> Balance ---> New units/comms ---> Balance ---> WFA ---> Balance ---> Ardennes

not

Release ---> new units/comms ---> Bala ---> new things! ---> WFA ---> Ba ---> Ardennes!!

Charging more is the most obvious choice. 50$ for one copy. Lord BartonPL will buy 5000 for us commoners. :snfBarton:

If it's something close to a Close Combat campaign I'll buy it. If it's more like the original CoH2 campaign, I won't.

I'm waiting to see reviews/opinions, and some more details first before I buy. I won't be pre-ordering like I did with WFA.

This could boost playernumbers for coh2 if relic play their cards right. If they implement the obs mode so you can observe random players in automatch right from the mainmenu just like in cs:go then large amounts of singelplayer-only guys could be introduced to the multiplayer without the stress of losing and never try it again. If relic also has a fix for warspoils by then it would be even better.

No because I still can't beat the Vanilla Coh 2 campaign when it crashes and doesn't save after i beat the 5th mission.

That could be huge.

A new player playing coh2 for campaign. on front page sees a random multiplayer match happening. Gets interested and wants to play

If the single player community is one that is completely absent from internet discussions or the multiplayer scene, then I don't see how more single player content is going to boost players in any meaningful way for those of us in multiplayer.

As much as I like the notion of Observer mode, the only time I've ever thought that it was necessary was back when things like SNF were still being run and tournaments being held. CoH2 is anathema to competitive tournament player, so I'm not sure how much of a place Obs mode is going to have once it's released a year and a half into this game's life.

Not into it at all. I actually love single player mission because they offer something other than "arena" style matches with mirrored objectives - I think it's cool having a battle with one side attacking and the other defending, one side retreating and the other pursuing, etc. Trouble is, it's boring playing with only computers. Now, if you can play it with a friend, different story. Theater of War with coop missions was one of the best ideas Relic with CoH2 and one of the reason I bought the game.

Since AA has no coop features I probably won't get it.
