This. 1v1 is currently pretty imbalanced, it just shows more in 4v4.

4v4 and 1v1 will never both be perfectly balanced because when several players work together there will be certain strong unit and ability combinations that cannot be replicated in 1v1. One example is the cloak ketten with sniper in vcoh. Another is multiple KTs in CoH2. Its extremely difficult to nerf a combination of units without making them really underperform in 1v1. But if you try to balance one unit against another that can be done without screwing the team games. USF is weak in 1v1 therefore they are very weak in team games. Make them balanced in 1v1 and they will also become more balanced in team games. The fact that its really easy to prepare for both infantry and tanks in team games makes "shock" units less powerful, but its not like balancing 1v1 and 4v4 are polar opposites.

tl;dr 4v4 will never be perfect in CoH2 but it is possible to make balance changes that will improve both 1v1 4v4 and everything in between.

hate to toot my own horn, but the 4v4 maps need to be improved as well. In short, they are way too clustered in some spots because crucial points are all very close to one another. This basically forces all players into a fairly small area where Axis strength prevails.

Maybe I have it wrong. Where are you based out of? Maybe post your player card/steam page so I can see?

If I have it wrong, I'd like to apologise.

No offense taken. I'm still away from home and replying with an iPad. Don't have my steam number. If it's relevant, I will post my non impressive card when I'll get back home and back on the battlefield. Ho, and it's no surprise, I live in Switzerland ...

You do realize even top 200 4v4 Allied players have trouble scraping wins?

Russians are almost balanced. It's sad that the only diversity they can have comes from the commanders. Americans is an other story, no diversity and you have to go for a quick win or you are almost doomed ( need soviets friends in 4 vs 4 ). I have many wins with both factions, but you have to realize that this is hard. I almost never played the axis (I don't care for the time it's taking to find a match, and it's no challenge=easy mode ), and I can still win with random mates and one or even two CPUs in the team. It's no wonder in 4 vs 4 that the allied queue is almost always empty ... Many prefer the easy mode (right WJ ?). I don't. But I would really appreciate a little less challenge and too have a chance to win even in a long match ...
