What is it? When is it coming out? Is it possible to get through war spoils? Also what are its abilities?

They have a Soviet officer that buffs nearby troops somehow. I think there's a manpower gain for units losing the ability to retreat?

I don't think it's available yet. I am DYING to get a Soviet officer unit though :(

You gain a bunch of extra manpower but they take away the ability to retreat. Sounds interesting, but I doubt they would ever release something like that. If you get suppressed by a machine gun you are fucked, and just have to sit there and die unless you can force off all enemy troops in the area. Unless maybe the officer has something like the On ME ability....

I would hope, beyond all hope, that the commissar would come on release with a forced retreat ability on a cooldown, because otherwise that commander is so very, very problematic.

All conjecture, though, we have no idea what the release state of these units will be

I think it is utter crap, just like other Soviet doctrines without elite infantry and vehicle call-ins. Poor faction design is poor.

Not saying that Soviets are underpowered - no. They are very good with proper doctrines, but "Not one step back" is just not one of them.

Basically, from my time in closed testing, the komissar had to die for your units to retreat, similar to that OKW officer...
