Retreating Maxim team stops

I've noticed a couple of times where My Maxim team will stop retreating entirely when the model pushing the MG dies. Is this something anyone else has noticed? oh and its not like they stop for a second and another model takes its place and they continue retreating, no its as though they reset and you need to press retreat again.

As far as im aware from what ive seen, this can happen to any infantry squad of all factions.

Retreat is broke.

Relic said they fixed a number issues with MGs which includes retreating ..... Id say that issue isn't fixed. The problems with Maxims before patch was that the MGs move slow motion towards the gun to recrew it delaying the entire squad from escaping that hasn't been fixed now MGs are even more vulnerable to getting wiped

This "bug" has been there for a while. Caused many emotional outbursts when pre patch Sturmpios could just stand quite far away and kill the guy recrewing the gun one by one. I'd be fine with it if the other MGs suffered from the same issue but they don't. If the guy carrying the MG42/MG34/50 Cal. gets killed it just teleports to one of the other squad members.

This is probably the Akilles heel of the Maxim since it is easier to wipe on retreat compared to the other MGs.

I actually thought this was fixed in the patch, been playing OKW exclusively. Thank you for enlighten us!

i dont think i ever had this happen to me until after the patch. since the patch theres almost always one team where the mg team stops retreating then they die because theyre just sitting there not doing much.

this shit has been happening to me since patch. I guess it is their way of nerfing maxim spam.

This is simply stupid. Imagine that you retreat simple gren squad - 1 model dies - they stop to retreat.

Clearly this issue wasn't important enough to be adressed in the hotfix.

Orthography Edit: Probably, as you said, is a new "feature" to balance maxims.

The funny thing is maxims already stopped on retreat when the handler was killed as another would have to pick up the gun before it would start moving again, now it's even worse!

Be thankful.

At least it's not a stuka plane pinning all your retreating troops and stopping them retreating as the flammentruck of doom comes to remind them why the Germans are bastards.

I'm so glad they fixed exactly half of that problem by nerfing the flammentruck.

In price and cooldown, AFAIK. I'm fairly certain the magic stop retreating bullets remain, which frankly was the problem in the first place.

Well too bad they haven't decided to fix pinning retreating troops that can be run over by a chasing tank with impunity.

Units that stop retreating, plane pinning retreating troops, units not retreating, fucked up retreatpaths, ...

This game is a bug with some non bugs in it atm.

Anyone get the bug where you tell them to retreat but still continue fighting like normal? They have the retreating icon above their heads but they wont retreat until I hit "stop" then "retreat"
