Replay Section - More Features?

I imagine some of these are planned or whatever, but:

1) It would be good if the filter let us choose the size of the match (1v1, 2v2, etc), the length of the match (maybe type in a number for "max length" or "min length" or something) and maybe other stuff.

2) It would be cool if we could sort by: downloads, honors, date uploaded, or last commented. I dunno what the default is right now.

3) There is no built-in shoutcast support! Just because Relic drops the ball doesn't mean CoH2.org gets to It would be nice if there were a place in the UI to link a shoutcast/vidcast thread or embed the shoutcast/vidcast. It would be interesting/maybe good if shoutcasters (or maybe just staff shoutcasters) could "claim" a replay so we don't have people stepping on each others' toes or having to post "claim for shoutcast" in the discussion thread. It would be cool if replays had icons to indicate they've been shoutcasted so that people browsing the section could decide to watch them. (It could be an icon or whatever in the left column.)

4) Maybe some kind of built in tournament thing, like, someone can create a tournament with a logo and everything and when you upload a replay you can select which tournament it is from (if any) and it goes into a moderation queue where the tournament organizer can approve or disapprove it, and then in the end you could click on each tournament and find a list of all the replays from the tournament.

Also I can honor my own replay. That's kind of funny. Dunno if that's intended.

3) "VODS" section is just a placeholder right now, when we actually build it we will crosslink it

This is just "replay section light" so far, so we have a system running for you to distribute replays. Many more features are designed already and are going to be added later

Can you make a new Replay Index, separated from Thread/post Index? There are probably going to be many replays uploaded/commented, overloading Index and pushing down the list Thread/post entries which I am interested the most.

This is something that I want very much!

As a stopgap until we add a filter, you can go to the REPLAYS index, click the toggle-all checkbox on the top right, and select "mark threads as read" from the dropdown. Yeah, it's a bad solution, because you would have to do that regularly if there are tons of replay being uploaded. We'll try to get a filter coded in asap.

Awesome! I don't think I've ever seen anything from CoH2.org that has been bad: everything is either "awesome" or "we're working on it and it will be awesome in the future." Can't wait to see where the website goes, especially once VoDs are operational! And, like, allowed...

This phase of the beta will run until April 30th, so there are still a few days to play after the SNF on Apr.28th.
