This guy was the best caster back when CoHO was around. I hope he comes back for CoH2 but I think hes tied down in China atm =(.

Yes, he was really good and as you said the best for CoHO. I miss him too. Does anyone have any news or keep in touch with him?

Harlequin cracked the mould for casting (IMO). When others were still counting down 5-4-3-2-1 and expecting us to correlate the vid with their commentary, he had moved beyond that into Youtube, and had a confident, happy style which covered a multitude of technical sins.It suited couch potatoes like me down to the ground - and gave him wonderful viewing figures - but it proved, I think, that you have to entertain, in order to hold audiences. Ami knows that - Yoinck has proved it professionally. I'm a little sad that Harlequin never got to cast with these people and others like Bridger and Rogers, who offered him an open hand. But life is imperfect....and COH was another step up, for which he plainly, ultimately, did not have enough time in which to immerse himself, albeit he had the help of Audemed, Budwise etc notwithstanding.

I blame Harlequin for the then obsession with Calliopes, but he took the casting world to another level, IMO. Light on the ear, amusing and often informative in his genre. And that is why I pay tribute.

Thing is that he added another layer. He showed that you really didn't need to be a pro player to create casts; you could do it just because you thought it was fun. Hell, you didn't really need to know anything about the game itself to do it (he certainly didn't in the beginning).

Good guy imo, hope he comes back :)

He was the guy that rather inspired me to begin Casting after he had gone off to his work in China. he was great, perhaps not a pro. But he had tons of personality, and no lack of confidence. He was great to watch, and will be missed.

Would be awesome if he would come back though.

Harlequin CoHO was definitely an amazing broadcaster. I'm sure whatever hes doing now is WAYYYYY more profitable then casting CoH games tho. I also hope he finds some time for CoH2 in the future.

If it wasn't for HarlequinCOHO I would not have played COHO or come back to COH. He really did a smashing job of casting games. They are classics now.
