Wang scalps Carlsen yesterday, and is looking to scalp Anand today? WTF? Chinese world domination gogo.

I really like chess, recently came back to this game. I've never really studied it like learning theory or openings so I'm pretty bad. Nevertheless recently I've been discovering how much fun it is to learn different opening and a bit of theory behind it. Beside chess have the best opening names ever! Sicilian Dragon ftw! :).
I play on www.chess.com - no need to install third party soft.

Me and Lynksey and Sandland have joined http://www.chess.com

It's totally free and we're playing blitz games against randoms for rating and correspondence games against each other. I'm "Artifook". Add me!

Here is an example of a crazy Latvian I had recently:

http://www.chess.com/livechess/game?id=584342327

I sac a pawn, 2 rooks, a knight, and a bishop! Then find the mate.

Yeah I love the "search graph." I wish the little green radio dial in coh2 would show dots of people searching like that graph. Would be so cool. It could have a color for which mode (1v1 .. 4v4) and a shape for which faction (circle for Soviets, square for Germans, triangle for random), and put them closer or further from the center based on ELO. That would be so awesome.

Carlsen is currently handing Anand his ass on a platter. Having two wins after four games(one of them a black win) is the equivalent of writing "LOL" with barbed wire in your opponents base in CoH.

Chess has also completely exploded in Norway the last few weeks, unsurprisingly.

It was 2 wins after 6 games, but yeah, TOTALLY. Looks like Carlsen will be crowned the new World Champion very very soon. Totally uninspired play from Anand in G7 and G8, then he risks it all on G9 today and gets stomped again! Carlsen is now leading 6-3 and needs only one draw in the remaining three games to claim the title. :)

Nice!

My blitz rating is more modest,1360. It was around 1500 before but it just kept dropping after massive losing streaks.

So, Magnus is defending his title against challenger Sergey Karjakin right now. Today is game 6 (after 5 draws in a row). They're playing in NYC, which is pretty cool. There's a fancy livestream, but it's $15 (bummer price imo). Here's the official site:

https://worldchess.com/nyc2016/

Other twitch streamers are simulcasting the games with commentary (cool, but I always wanna see the player cams). A good one is:

https://www.twitch.tv/chessnetwork

I'll be watching g6 today. It starts at 8pm CET (2pm time in NYC). Anybody else following the action? Although no full points have been scored yet, there have been some hum-dinger games.

I found a way to watch the live cams via Norwegian TV site :D

https://tv.nrk.no/direkte/nrk2

If it complains about you not being Norwegian, just use some kind of header changer (like "modheader" for chrome).
