These guys are a whole lot better against Infantry than I remember them being. They're ridiculously difficult to take down.

How does everyone else feel about them? I've found them really damn hard to counter as OKW, aside from just suppressing them.

don't they have same hp as conscripts? i don't think they even have armor or reduced incoming accuracy.

they became quiet useful when DPs became not useless a loooooong time ago.

They're good until Obers hit the field. Not that hard to counter imo.

Question: According to coh2 stats, the DP is supposed to do ~6.4 @ max range while the LMG42 does ~9.4 at max range.

The dps have double, so is the figure dealing with 2 or just one DP?

Yes, they've got better AI than in the past, but you shouldn't have any problem dealing with them playing OKW. Shocks instead can be harder to deal with.

Be glad if your rival choose a Guard doctrine.

That's for a single LMG, so yes, 2 DP's outdamages one LMG42

But you also have to account for the extra riflemen grenadiers get, since PTRS's don't do anything to infantry.

2 DPs and 2 Rifles
vs
3 rifles and LMG42

I think considering all the costs and requirements, I think it's fine. I personally feel PTRS rifles shouldn't be droppable, though

Guard DPS with dual DP-28: 18.1000 - 15.3088
Grenadier DPS with LMG 42: 25.4898 - 15.7931

2 Mosin-Nagant + 2 DP vs 3 Kar 98 + LMG 42

I think they are ok. I don't usually use them as a Soviet player, and I don't really see them very often when playing as Wehrmacht.

I feel they could use a bit of a bump somewhere. For 360 MP doctrinal infantry that needs an upgrade to be useful, they feel kinda lackluster, at least compared to the beastly Shocks. The PTRS is very underwhelming and can barely damage anything bigger than a halftrack. Button is useful, but without it their usefulness vs vehicles is very limited. Their AI is decent, but in the WFA meta of elite infantry with crazy long range DPS (1919 rifles/paras, Obers, panzerfusiliers, jaegers ect.) I feel they cannot really compete anymore.

It doesn't help the doctrines that have them usually aren't the very best.

I would love being able to drop manually PTRS. The only weapon in the game you don´t care if you drop.

Button is an awesome ability and I would guess part of why guards have remained so-so against infantry.

They're better against OKW than OH because OH only has 2 light vehicles that are only out in a medium-sized timeframe, compared to OKW which is half light vehicles also sluggish Jagdpanzer IV.
