The tiny little Infantry Support Gun. Why on earth does that come at a price of 420MP?

-A mortar is just as effective for much cheaper

-OKW are forced to buy one of these to counter strategies like maxim spam or rifle blobs, leaving the OKW player MP totally starved due to the very high cost

-The American howitzer equivalent is more effective for only 60 more MP

-It's terribly innacurate and (in my experience) consistently misses its target

-It has no smoke option like mortars do (I use this a lot as soviet/wehrmacht)

-It cannot retreat like a mortar can so it can easily end up decrewed

In my opinion the support gun just isn't worth the very high cost, especially when compared to the effectiveness of a mortar for much less.

Please vote in the poll and we'll see what people think of this issue.

Thanks for reading.

Its fine as it is, its much more effective then mortars(shorter projectile travel time) and penetration ain't half bad, which makes it good light armor soft counter as well.

Its much more interesting then another generic mortar.

I think its fine, if you get it into a good position it can be a real game winner for you. It provides great support for you troops, and because it fires much quicker it tends to hit its targets much more than mortars do.

From my limited experience it is reasonably priced. I don't think the accuracy is bad at all. Good range and damage against light vehicles is a plus. The explosion doesn't look very spectacular, but when it hits i often see multiple models die at once.

The only real weakness i see, apart from the MP cost, is enemy mortars positioned right behind obstacles, because due to the trajectory you can't hit them, but they can hit you.

It's a completely new unit to learn and most of us are WFA noobs, so i voted for "too early to tell".

You mean the USF pack howitzer is better? Im thinking its way worse. Not even in the same ball park worse.

On-topic: I'd say a small manpower decrease wouldnt hurt, lets say 380.

It's not a bad unit by any means but the price tag seems way too high. You get one of these guns are you sacrifice a lot of front line infantry power, which you need to combat things like rifleman rushes.

Appears more accurate to me as well, but maybe I am just unlucky?

Anyway, I enjoy the Support gun to deal with blobs and it profits from veterancy as well, but I noticed it does not do particularly well as a counter against machine guns for price. On some maps this is doubly unfortunate because also the Wurfrahmen doesn't work there because the rockets just land in trees instead.
