I use google image search blackhooligan. I just search on a vehicle or a battle and then take it from there in most cases :)



Villages were left ablaze as the men of the Brandenburger Division were pulling back from the advance of the soviet army.

But as a part of the rear guard got caught in mechanical trouble. The soviets struck and a mechanized brigade swooped in to try and deliver a deadly strike.

The Crossing was a small one of minor strategic relevance in Divisional commands mind. And so only a small force was left to guard it.

Sadly the tenacity of the Americans was under-estimated and an armoured assault was undertaken.

On the Road to budapest the Russians were making steady advances. The 111th Rifle Division busy making slower gains on the flanks. Sweeping away Hungarian elements.

Until out of nowhere Elements of the 7th Panzer Division stuck, driving chaos into the 111th and forcing Stavka to re-evaluate the situation.

Hauptmann Werner looked over at his exhausted Panzergrenadiers. For days they'd been fighting all across the front. dealing with soviet breakthroughs time and time again.

And it was starting to show. But there was no one else around to save the front. So it fell upon them again to salvage the situation once more.

As the 8th Infantry Division advanced it had made a strategic error leaving a gap open in it's defences.

And the germans were quick to seize upon it. A Kampfgruppe was dispatched to exploit this opportunity given to them. And the 8th Rushed to avoid disaster.

The time had finally come to oust the Russian Guards infantry from the part of the village they had dug into. Days of skirmishing would be ended as the germans prepared a larger push as Armour and infantry support had finally been assembled.

The Soviets had the exact same plan...

Sergeant Smith surveyed the battlefield ahead of him. Where could those damn jerries be hiding ? The bushes ? The houses ? That well positioned Machine gun nest ?

And with that realisation Sergeant smith ordered the squad to hit the dirt and hoped the Tanks would be here in time to extricate them from this mess.

Major Weber had a small Aufklärungs Battalion under his command. And a larger Mechanized Soviet Brigade against him.

It would require the utmost of his men to even stall the soviet advance let alone break it.

In a bid to gain the initative vs the Germans the 3rd Armoured Division was tasked with breaking through a small secured crossing and push into the German rear area lines.

Major Wolf had been trying to halt the advance of the 1st Guards Mechanized Corps for the last few days. His resources were limited and the Soviets were seemingly unstoppable.

But today would be different. The soviets had made a grave error and Wolf saw a chance to halt their advance decisively.

With the soviets overrunning the frontline it fell to a small german infantry unit supported by Hungarian elements to hold a vital railway depot clear until all the supplies could be moved to a safer place.

But Stavka had no intention of letting the Germans do that and Shock troopers were mobilized for a swift and bloody assault.

Captain Jackson looked at the map ahead of him. He'd been ordered to take the village ahead of him. He didn't know what German unit were holding it. Nor how many they were. HQ didn't care. They wanted it taken and they wanted it taken Yesterday.

Captain Jackson figured he might as well get it over with.

There will probably be a lot of Pershings until A) SOme people get bored of it B) It gets countered reasonably well, which probably should not be too difficult since people have had plenty of time to train on shock rifle :p



The morning was cold as cold could be as Captain Jones ordered his men to advance. A sherman supporting their advance.

Until an Armour Piercing round went through the hull lighting it up and at the same time solving the problem of the cold. Now the Problem was the Germans.

After a brutal days fighting the sun rose on a wrecked town nestled between the 1st Armoured and the 2nd SS Panzer Division.

Today looked like it was going to be just as brutal as the previous one.

Two Tanks ahead of him were already on fire, their crews desperately trying to escape what had gone from Armoured monsters to incendiary coffins. But Sergeant Petrov did not care about that. he had one mission. To destroy the Fascists and take the town up ahead.

Now to hope the tank would hold up to the mission.

As the retreat of the German army in the baltics continued. the 11th SS was ordered to launch an assault to keep the soviet pursuit at a distance.

In the woods is where the blow came against the Soviet army.

The Guards Armoured Division was on the move. But blocking the way was the 3rd Panzer Division dug in across the road and reinforced by nearby Infantrie Battalions.

Could they push through the German defences ? Or would the brits bleed out on the dusty road ?

Marching through the woods. the men of the 30th Infantry division advanced. Day after day they spent dealing with one German Kampfgruppe after the other. Or were they all the same ? It was hard to tell for the troops who preferred to be anywhere else but those dreary woods.
