auptmann Beckenbauer prepared for the assault. he had precious few tanks to support him and hardly much more infantry to pull it off.
But the counter-attack had to succeed or the southern flank would be left terribly exposed.

In a bid to reverse the allied advance the 107th Panzer Brigade was tasked with attacking an allied held Railway crossing and push through into the rear areas.
Unbeknownst to them. The Americans and the British were assembling for an attack of their own in the same area.

n a bid to outflank the British the 21st Panzer Division set off with a risky maneuvre hoping to dislodge the 8th Infantry Division in one fell swoop. Fuel and Panzers had been allocated for this move.
Would the stalwart brits hold against this Krupp steel storm ?

Most of the Panzergrenadier Battalions were worn down and they had to accept reinforcements in the form of Hungarian Infantrymen.
Major Förstner was not happy about the situation. And now he had to try and stall the 1st Guards Mechanized Corps so the rest of the 23rd Panzer Division could fall back to better positions.

They'd been shelling the town for the better of 2 days before they began their attack.
But not counting on the artillery to do all the work. The 3rd Armoured Division had brought a trump card to hopefully take the town.

The 182nd Infantrie Division had collaped during the night as heavy shelling knocked out the command posts and with the entire division routed the Germans were forced to quickly plug the gap while bringing up reinforcements.
In the meanwhile the Americans were pouring in everything they had in an attempt to push through.

A collapse in the german frontline had suddenly left a german supply depot exposed. And Stavka wished to seize upon the chance.
The 10th Tank Corps was tasked with seizing it before the germans managed to re-secure it and move the supplies. It was a race against time.

The Germans had been waiting for days. Trenches dug, mines laid out. But the Soviets had yet to show. No aircraft, no artillery.. No nothing. it was unusual.
And then. Like lightning from a blue sky they struck. Tanks rolling and infantry storming.
The Germans braced for the assault and hoped for swift reinforcements.

The Germans were on the counter-attack and for 2 days had relentlessly been hammering away at the british Positions.
Captain davies wondered when the reinforcements were coming as he moved from one trench to the other, checking up with the junior officers.
And then the artillery let up. Informing the good captain the huns were attacking again.

The 11th Armoured Division was well under way to relieve the besieged Americans when the leading tank in the column when up in flames.
When the bullets began flying men were already making their way to cover.
The Panzer Lehr was on the attack and had caught the 11th by surprise. But the Tommies had a few surprises in hand for Harry Hun.

Hauptsturmführer Wilhelms jumped from the halftrack seconds before it turned into a fireball. Most of his men managed the same. but a few caught and were naught but ashes now.
"Fritz ! Grab that Panzerfaust. We're going Panzerhunting !"

A quick Skirmish on the road to Germany between the 15th Panzergrenadier Division and the 4th Infantry quickly escalated as more forces were drawn in. Both sides convinced a breakthrough could be forced...

Straight from Headquarters came the orders for the 3rd SS Panzer Division to launch an assault and push back the soviets dug in.
Succees would open up for further attacks. Failure could lead to the full collapse of the front line

The Attack had stalled for days now and HQ was wondering how to get moving again. Patton was hounding them to keep up the pace. But the Germans were tenacious in their Defence.
But an attack had to be made and so they launched it. Right into an SS Panzer Division.

The German army was on the retreat. But even then it had plenty of bite as the 11th Armoured Division found out when it blundered into the 107th Infantrie Division's positions.

The Panzers were stuck until fuel could arrive. And thusly the 1st Panzer Division found itself in a lot of trouble. The Men were ordered out to scavenge whatever fuel they could.

The time for the big attack had come. And the germans were scrambling to respond to it. Infantry Divisions and Kampfgruppen were being brushed aside.
Into the fray came the Panzer Division Grossdeutschland. Rushing from hotspot to hotspot. Their tanks close to breaking and their men exhausted. Would be the straw that broke the camels back ?

The American 2nd Infantry Division was pushing forwards into German territory. Artillery supporting their slow advance.
Waiting for the opportune moment to strike the 15th Panzergrenadier Division gathered what few resources it could and prepared a reserve to unleash a counter-attack when the chance came.

The Kampfgruppe meyer had been blocking the advance of the 30th Corps for weeks now. Enough was enough. Air support and heavy armour support was mobilized and prepared.
One proper strike and the hun would be routed. That was the decision !
