Overall I feel it is a good machine gun. It does noticeably more damage than the maxim.
However I feel like its special ability takes far too long to activate making it essentially useless since it can be seen coming from a mile awhile. In fact it is actually better to let it fire as normal since it stops firing for so long. If reducing the time makes it too good, increase the cost of it.

Please provide a replay of both a DSHK and an MG42 attacking light vehicles. Make it in a custom match so both weapons attack the same vehicle and make them attack the vehiles of both armies.

I tested it, AP on the DShK has little or no effect. Surprisingly, API on the MG 42 hitting the rear end of a T-34/76 can take out nearly half it's health if it sits there for the entire duration. Both are roughly equally effective against scout cars without any abilities, which is not very much, but if it sits there for 20 seconds it's dead.
No replay because I used my personal test map and you wouldn't be able to play it without said map.

I tested them on the M3 and 221, which was without AP, both killed them roughly the same time. With AP I tested them on the Puma, T-70, and T-34 (rear) and the MG 42's API was far superior each time. The Puma and T-70 were destroyed before the ability ran out, compared to varying damage by the DShK's AP. The T-34 was brought down to near half-health before the MG 42 AP ran out.
Like I said, conclusion is that DShK AP rounds are a waste and have no notable effect compared to MG 42 API.

I would disagree that they have no effect. Dshks are pretty good against scout cars/halftracks when their ability is active. It just takes so long for it to start firing and it has a giant sign over its head showing what it is doing.

But without them it's still effective regardless, and by the time you've loaded it the vehicle will have moved.

Thats my point, when you pop it they should come online very quickly because it is useless otherwise

If the dps was increased just a little bit for the Doushka when you activate its ability I would be happy. The MG42 Incendiary Round is LEAGUES above it.

Which is very odd, because apparently a 7.92 mm Machine Gun is better killing vehicles than a 12.7mm one.
