Is there always so much crying in the stands at football games? Is that just a world cup thing?

It's mainly a Brazil thing. Considering the state of their country is a cluster fuck, football is their only outlet most of them have. Either way its just their passion for their country, just like when American football players and fans bawl their eyes out at the super bowl when some celebrity sings the national anthem before the game... "Muh Freedom!"

I've seen a lotta crying in the world cup with people from other places. But sure that awful game was well worth a crying. No one ever saw Brazil getting such a shameful score.

Just to clarify, yeah, the country is a mess, but no, those in the stadium do not have football as their only outlet - most paid high cash for those tickets, and sure do their semestral abroad trip, every year.

I'd be mean and say that they were crying because that money could be better spent elsewhere.

OK so I guess a lot of sports fans have this problem. A quick google search confirmed this.

God I want Germany to win tonight. But why, oh why, do I have this horrible feeling Argentina will park the bus and win 1:0 by a Messi goal...

I think people from Brasil remember this WC for a long time like 1950 WC.
I think that Argentina have bad defend when WC start, but i was wrong, becouse in play off they do not miss a single goal. For victory you dont need many goals, one is enough.
1-1 and penalty win .......... The magic number 24 for both national team.

I just think bro, Germany played very good football in the last tournaments since 2002 and won absolutly nothing ^^

And Argentina made a very efficient impression, they didn't play really superior against Switzerland or Holland but they won ....... that will happen this evening too aifraid so ......

Go Germany fight and win! ;D

Argentina played 120 minutes and had one day less rest. Germany will overpower them. We got this! DEDE

FUUUUUCK YEAH, today, my friends, we witness the win of proper attacking team football against a 10-man defence with a crazy alien upfront (I mean, I respect Messi as much as a football fan respects a GREAT player, but this is a team sport)
