Sturm Pioneers are my favorite assault unit in COH2. So much damage (and repair) potential in a unit that you get for free at the start of the game.


Do they have as much accuracy on health as regular engineers or do they get more like pander grenadiers

Pioneers and Panzergrenadiers have the same health.

Sturmpioneers will be more like Panzergrenadiers because they have StG 44's.

We caught the Sturmpioneer's stats in the OKW preview (there were hints, as well).

It's basically a 9 pop cap engineer unit that fight like Panzer grenadiers and will probably be in the same price range.

Also what about Volks for OKW, will they fit with OKW since the army is supposed to be elite and Volksgrenadiers from coh 1 were comparable to conscripts or infantry lesser then grenadier.

will they be on par with grens or more like conscripts

I think the idea behind OKW is that they're decent at the start of the game and if they get high levels of veterency(3-5), they become an extremely scary force so I assume the Volksgrenadiers are comparable to CoH1 Volks, except that the Volks in OKW can actually scale late game and become extremely valuable units, or that's how I see it anyways. I assume that's how Volks in CoH2 will work but we won't know exactly until the NDA is lifted or until WFA releases....either or.

Volks have no small arms upgrades and come across as being the OKW's version of conscripts. They can upgrade 1 panzershreck.

Plus Volksgrenadier divisions did fight in the Ardennes Offensive.

I think they didn't show weapon upgrades in the profiles...do fallschirms come with readymade fg42s or upgrade needed.Where are thomsons and lmg for paras.I'm guessing both these unit types have some armour.Will be interesting to see the popcap and reinforce cost of these units.Probably 10 and 35-45 mp.

This level 5 vet may be abused by elite troops temamate,especially cheaper to vet early game units that scale well.Maybe puppchen/volks/sturmpio.

i wonder how exactly will the king tiger do for example VS an IS-2.

In reality both were quite the equal match because the king tigers armor while impressive on paper, was of very poor quality due to Germany losing some very critical reserves of certain materials required to make good armor. Altho king tiger i think still had a slight advantage due to a gun with more penetration. And of course the king tigers much higher rate of fire.

They'll probably be quite comparable but I think they will give the KT more armor but make is slower than the IS, there guns will be similar.

I hear is-2 is getting buffed and tiger nerfed next patch..well..is-2 will probably be next isu.

I wonder if the fallschirmjager chemical smoke grenade works against units in buildings,possibly will affect themselves if they go through it.Its a vet 1 ability so i don't expect it to suck .
Nice to see bundle grenade back.

Americans i see have both nuke grenade and their own version of satchel for paras.

I wish germans had goliaths for demolition duties damn.

Tiger nerfed? Lol, that would be "nice" to see, especialy if they keep the Panther and the ISU as there are now. The necessity for an "I win" button is strong in soviets as I can see.
If it is for a change, I trully hope they eather nerf Tiger eather buff IS-2 not both actions, because we saw what this kind of shit does to balance.

70 seems a bit harsh, I would have though 80 would be enough in combination with a scatter nerd for ISU.
