I personally dont like it that much, im a fan of turretless tank destroyers, but the maps are so much mountainy and hilly...war thunder is better at air combat in my opinion.

I hope they add some new maps as well, but it feels very solid, nice tank models, acceptable grind and enticing gameplay. I like it better than World of Tanks in every regard :)

Played War thunder for about 200 hours.

Given into account it's been only out with the last patch, it's quite enjoyable.
Tanks models are superb and the fact that you have customizable skins makes the game for me more enjoyable.

However compared with the air forces is lacks simply in content. Only German and soviet tanks, a few maps and game modes, and no interior view of the tank.

Yet it very enjoyable and satisfying. It really matters where you hit the tank since every model has complex Armour values and skill is defined by the correct aiming.

Combined forces (airplanes & tanks) turn out to be really tactical.

You should definitely check it out. By no means it feels like a free2play title, quite understandable since the experts from the IL-2 Sturmovik developers are behind the game.

More factions and interiors are to be added in a later stage of the game devellopement I think :)

I really enjoy it, especially the Simulator mode. Now, if they could only combine the technical aspect from Red Orchestra 2 (interior modeling, and animation, limited to realistic view ports), but the increased amount of content like War Thunder (including additional factions to be released), I would be in hog heaven.

With the addition of air power, ground force battles are extremely enjoyable. Cant wait till they incorperate US and Brit trees

im pretty sure the tanks we have now for the open beta aren't even the final list they plan to add more.

there are indeed a lot of voids in both tech lines. This isn't even their final form ^^

War Thunder tank + Red Orchestra 2 complexity = heaven. Just imagine killing a t34 player because the guy decided to use the periscope and get a limited view instead of sticking his head out. That sweet feeling.

The tankmodels are great and the handling is great too but the maps and the whole hitreg/damagesystem is horrible.

Dense foliage, hills, canyons, that surley is the terrain you wanna deploy tanks on
