StuG and SU76 changes are a bit perplexing. These two units were already pretty bad and changes on paper seem to make them worse, but will have to see how they synergize with all the other changes.

I was surprised too, mainly at the armour decrease. SU76 did get a penetration buff though, which is very nice in my mind. Considering you can build so many, having them bombard infantry to the stone age, and then mobbing up to attack armour will be more effective too. Maybe they'll be more of a glass cannon style unit, or even just more spammable since they have better offensive capability now?

I know, right??

Hingie on official forums already got meltdown.

Hm doesent seem like that to me. He just asked a good question concerning the new range penetration system and is a bit concerned about Panthers.

Scared? Maybe. Meltdown? Naaah :P

Read earlier posts :)

About panther, nothing really will change except with fights with KVs(which already were bad in AT fights) and against IS-2, which will now fiend off panther much more effectively.

I just want to play it and see KV-1.

The small weapons profile adjustments seem pretty bang on. PQ posted some sexy charts and stuff.

We should wait to plat the patch but:

the howitzer changes seem like a flat out nerf. Which was the last thing these units needed. What was wrong with destroying someones base with artillery? It's barely useful against moving targets if your opponent had a brain and did not blob up against a player with a howitzer.

Copypasta.

Changing a bit the subject: no one said anything regarding the Howitzers ?

I hate the mechanic of you are fucked without an offmap because it´s sitting inside the enemy base and recon + offmap equal easy goodbye howitzer. The thing that many german doctrines have either cheap (light arty) or abundant offmaps in several good commanders is something a bit annoying.

With this changes, how would it play having artillery with less range but being cheaper?

I hope this is just a first step.

It seems there are some good improvements to infantry. Engineers cost less, scout car cost less and has more health and penetration. Cons can do more damage. Guards cost less and upgrade for less.

Brace yourselves...M3 + Engineer + Guard spam is comming. Huehuehue.

Howitzer's were already questionable. The value proposition just went down further on them. No biggy.

It's effective *only* if you know what commander the opposing player has picked. The value proposition remains low though. Using a rocket truck has the same results but is cheaper and mobile. I hope relic address's Arty in the future.

I dont like the nerfs.

Woooooooooooooooow nice german nerf, extremely ultra good buff to the ISU152, now he has better penetration and same health than Elef. Prepare your anus to see more ISU152's, you dont have elefant? say GG xD

elephant pen: 400. vs. isu 152 pen: 230.

400 > 230...

as a proud asian, i am personally offended that a literate person can be this bad at math.

ps. patch looks nice. can't wait to try it.

Figured some smartass would point this out. I wasnt comparing the pens of both tanks, only the health.

"better penetration and same health"

im sorry. i have no idea where i got ideas about penetration from. it must be one of those quarter age alzheimer people talk about. or it must be my damn restless leg syndrome interfering my brain activity.

I mean for god sake G43 is a long range Rifle, WITH SCOPE. I mean SCOPE for better aiming at far range, not to be god as medium and close.

I think if the G43 grens have scopes then it's just lazyness on Relic's part to make a different G43 model without the scope for grens and using the sniper's G43 model :D
